SALAZAR RESOURCES LTD
Salazar Announces Finding of New Anomaly 5.5 km South West From El Gallo, Ecuador: 68m at 2.6 g/t Gold and 82 g/t Silver
6/20/2007
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 20, 2007 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX News Network) --

Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) announces further results from the ongoing exploration program at the El Lobo anomaly.

Significant results include:

- 68 meters at an average of 2.6 g/t gold and 82 g/t silver; including 5 meters at an average of 8.5 g/t gold and 304 g/t silver

A total of 92 rock chip samples were sampled with lengths varying between 1 and 5 meters (31 trench samples, 53 outcrop samples and 8 manual pit samples of 1 to 4 meters depth). Values ranged form 0.01 to 16.65 g/t gold and 0.01 to 604 g/t silver (to see Table 1 please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0620Table1.pdf).

Thirty-four soil samples were also collected; 32 along road slopes (mainly Type A soil) and 2 auger samples with depths between 1 and 4 meters. The soil sampling identified a restricted gold and silver anomaly with coincident copper and lead near 892775mE and between 0849425mN and 0849400mN. There are other areas with base metal enrichment but do not have associated anomalous gold and silver (to see Table 2 and Figure 9 please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0620Table2andFig9.pdf).

The Sesmo Sur Anomaly, which contains the El Lobo Anomaly, lies within the Jordan 2 mining concession and is located 5.5 km south west of El Gallo (to see Figure 1 please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0620Fig1.pdf). The alteration zone is more than 100 meters wide and consists of silicified and pyritized hydrothermal volcanic breccia. Gold and silver mineralization is hosted within a hydrothermal breccia with a matrix of barite and poly-sulphides (silver minerals are contained within galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite) (to see Figure 2 please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0620Fig2.pdf).

Mr. Salazar, President, states, "While we remain in the early stages of our exploration program, the results to date demonstrate many positive indications that this could be an exploration area with potential to discover significant gold and silver mineralization."

Rocks and soil geochemistry and geology are currently being analyzed in further detail. Future work will concentrate on testing the 5.5 km long area between El Gallo Anomaly and Sesmo Sur to search for new indications of gold and silver mineralization. The next phase at the Sesmo Sur Anomaly will be geochemistry, geology and geophysics (magnetometry and induced polarization) to define new anomalies within the Sesmo Sur zone.

Ecuador minister favors large-scale mining-report
Fri Sep 14, 2007 9:27am EDT

QUITO, Sept 14 (Reuters)- Ecuadorean Mines Minister Galo Chiriboga said he favors large-scale mining, but warned he will cancel concessions that the government judges were granted illegally, a local newspaper reported Friday.

"I think we should not stick to a vision of small and medium-scale mining, but think of eventually heading toward bigger extraction," Chiriboga told Quito daily "El Comercio."

In the interview, Chiriboga said a group of experts is analyzing current concessions and that "if there are any illegalities we will push for the termination of concessions."

He did not explain how concessions would be judged or say if he backs a proposal by the government's head representative in an upcoming assembly rewriting the constitution to ban open pit mining.

Alberto Acosta, the government's top candidate for the assembly to be elected on Sept. 30, has said he would push to forbid open pit mining and grant local communities power to curb mining activity because of environmental concerns.

Chiriboga said his ministry will have an input in the assembly, but that major new mining activity will be on hold until the legislative body overhauls the constitution.

The 130-member assembly is expected to conclude constitutional changes in the second half of 2008, which will have to be ratified in a referendum.

Leftist President Rafael Correa, who is gambling his political future in the assembly, has worried investors with pledges to review mining concessions and renegotiate oil contracts.

Ecuador lacks so far any significant production of precious metals, but Canadian companies such as Corriente Resources (CTQ.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) (ETQ.A: Quote, Profile, Research), Iamgold Corp (IMG.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) and Aurelian Resources Resources Inc (ARU.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) are exploring for gold and copper.

Salazar Provides Update on Drill Program at Curipamba, Ecuador

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 12, 2007) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) announces that the field operations at the Curipamba Project comprising a drill program of 48 holes and 9000 meters, including 4,000 meters at Sesmo Sur, has been temporarily halted.

This step was taken by the Company in response to recent protests at the Company's work site. The Company's drill camp was temporarily occupied by protestors who originated from outside the area of influence of the project and NOT from nearby communities where the Company and the Project have strong community support. It is important to comment that the Company has the support from the overwhelming majority (over 90%) of local community residents. The Company also has the support from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum as well as from the Ministry of Governance. The Company received all necessary exploration permits required to develop the Curipamba Project and completed all the processes established by the Government in a timely and supportive manner. These national authorities cooperated with the Company throughout the protest and arranged for local authorities to take all actions necessary to ensure that the rule of law prevailed.

At the present time the situation has returned to normal and the drill program could resume immediately, but in order to minimize the potential for future confrontation the Company has temporarily withdrawn its employees from its work site. The Company's community development officers are in the field working with all stakeholders. The Government is taking action to bring security to the communities inside the area of influence of the project and to also investigate the activities of the protest leaders. The Company will resume its work program within 3 weeks at which time measures will be implemented to ensure the continual security and safety of its work site.

On a more positive note assay results from drill holes 1 through 3 have been submitted for analysis and results are pending and will be released as soon as they become available. Unfortunately during the protests much of the drill core from drill holes 4 through 7 was destroyed or lost. When the drill program recommences, the first order of business will be to twin drill holes 4 through 7. The Company believes the drill holes completed warrant re-drilling.

In addition to drilling at Sesmo Sur, the drill program will also test the various anomalies identified on the Las Naves mining concessions located 5.5 kilometers N-NE of Sesmo Sur. We anticipate drilling (5000m) numerous Las Naves anomalies early in 2008. Las Naves hosts significant anomalous hydrothermal breccias that cover an area approximately 2 km x 1 km. Examples include:

- El Gallo Anomaly: average grade of 17m at 11.2 g/t Gold and 505 g/t Silver;

- Sesmo Anomaly: average grade of 15m at 39.1 g/t Gold and 741 g/t Silver, including 2m at 186.5 g/t Gold and 1055 g/t Silver;

- Cade Sur Anomaly: average grade of 10m at 7.63 g/t Gold and 291 g/t Silver.

In sum, Mr. Salazar, President and CEO of Salazar Resources says, "The Company is encouraged with the support we have received from the local community and different levels of government in this trying time. We believe taking a short break at this point in time will be the best strategic decision for the long term success of the project. We have received strong reassurance from our community and with that support we are looking forward to resuming our exploration program in the very near future."

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF SALAZAR RESOURCES LIMITED

Mal kurz was zum Thema Erwartungshaltung:

Keiner will die 2. Aurelian verpassen!

große Bergbauunternehmen an Curipamba interessiert.

Prior to going public, I worked extensively to assemble a portfolio of exploration properties which, in my opinion, could be the next great discovery in Ecuador.

("Curimining"). Our Company is now trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SRL,
and we are also listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol SRL. Prior to closing the
acquisition I was the principal shareholder of Curimining and now am the President, Chief Executive

Prior to going public, I worked extensively to assemble a portfolio of exploration properties which, in
my opinion, could be the next great discovery in Ecuador.
With the going public process now complete, and the Company
well financed our focus will be on aggressively executing our exploration plans.
The Company is a strategic player in Ecuador exploration, with an experienced Ecuadorian
management team. All of our geological team have, in the past, worked for international mining companies.
The Company is adequately financed and ready to generate exploration results.
We have interests in a number of exploration projects including Curipamba, Ruminahui, La Aventura
and Mendez. The Company has an excellent portfolio of exploration properties and a network in place
for sourcing new opportunities. All told at this time our properties cover close to 150,000 hectares.
Curipamba and Ruminihaui are our two cornerstone projects and will be the focus of our initial
exploration efforts.
During the going public process we have not been inactive with up to 60 people working on the ground
over the last months.
Now that we have completed the going public process I would first of all like to thank all of our
shareholders for their support, especially our recent shareholders, I also wish to thank our directors and
officers and all who have worked to make this transaction possible, a special thank you is offered to our
financial sponsor Canaccord Capital Corporation.
I look forward to delivering exciting news from the exploration programs which are now underway.

Vancouver, British Columbia 12.
Probeentnahmen ergaben folgende Resultate:
- El Gallo Anomalie: 17m mit durchschnittlich 11.2 g/t Gold und 505 g/t Silber;
- Sesmo Anomalie: 15m mit durchschnittlich 39.1 g/t Gold und 741 g/t Silber, einschließlich 2m mit 186.5 g/t Gold und 1055 g/t Silber;

Folgende Infos in Kürze:

Siehe Veröffentlichtung in Marketwire.com !

Summary of News Release dated October 12, 2007

To View the Drilling Update News Release Click Here

After listening to the webcast event with Etienne Walter it seems as though the recent activities at Curipamba was more an act of vandalism than a protest. The "protestors" did not stay around for any period of time as they did not convey any demands or concerns. What they did do, was upset a community who is very supportive of Salazar Resources. A group of 500+ local community members are lobbying the ministers to bring legal action against this outside group for damages incurred. It seems as though Salazar was targeted more for convenience, as there is full transpareny in the operations and the "protestors" were able to access the site. There will now be security measures put in place and a community watch that will prevent these type of actions for the future.

Protestors originated from outside the area of influence of the project and NOT from nearby communities where the Company and the Project have strong community support (Over 90%).
Company has the support from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum as well as from the Ministry of Governance.
The Company received all necessary exploration permits required to develop the Curipamba Project
At the present time the situation has returned to normal.
While the crew is taking a short break, measures are being put into place from preventing this from happening again. We are still expecting to see not only drill assays, but an extensive amount of sampling assays. Salazar has over 60 people working different areas of Salazar's extensive properties(150,000+ hectares). Currently they are conducting more gridwork, trenching and channel samples. We are also excited about the ongoing geophysics program that will look to define anomalies identified at surface and to locate new anomalies.

Some recent identified anomalies:

El Gallo Anomaly: average grade of 11.2 g/t Gold and 505 g/t Silver over 17m;
Sesmo Anomaly: average grade of 39.1 g/t Gold and 741 g/t Silver over 15m, including 2 m at 186.5g/t Gold and 1055 g/t Silver;
Cade Sur Anomaly: average grade of 7.63 g/t Gold and 291 g/t Silver over 10m.
El Lobo Anomaly: average grade of 3.71 g/t gold and 162 g/t silver over 52m
Look for news out very shortly.

Salazar Reports Results From New Anomaly Roble 1, Ecuador: 3.6 Meters at 15.12 g/t Gold, 258 g/t Silver, 0.56% Copper, 3.25% Lead and 5.25% Zinc
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 18, 2007) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) announces further results from its 2007 ongoing exploration program at Las Naves mining concession in Ecuador. The Las Naves concession is located about 5.5 kilometers N-NE of Sesmo Sur where the Company temporarily halted its drill program. Currently the company has 15 people working at Las Naves preparing for the upcoming drill program. Ongoing exploration activities have resulted in the discovery of two new anomalies, Roble 1 and Roble.

Roble 1

Assay results have just been received from the lab from additional rock chip channel samples taken at El Roble 1 Anomaly.

Significant results include:

- 3.6 meters at an average of 15.12 g/t gold, 258 g/t silver, 0.56% copper, 3.25% lead and 5.25% zinc,

- including 0.93 meters averaging of 35.29 g/t gold, 630 g/t silver, 1,36% copper, 7.98% lead and 12.80% zinc.

To view Figure 1 please click on the following link: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/SRLa.pdf

A total of 4 rock chip channels were sampled, with lengths between 0.85 and 1.73 meters wide. Values ranged from 0.21 to 53.00 g/t gold, 1.10 to 695 g/t silver, 0.02% to 17.8% copper, 0.014 to 10.05% lead and from 0.05 to 26.70% zinc.

The Roble 1 Anomaly is located within the Las Naves mining concession, 1.25 kilometres north from the El Gallo Anomaly. Mineralization is hosted along a shear zone that is 3.6m wide consisting of a hydrothermal breccia with massive to semi massive clasts of chalcopyrite, galena, sphalerite and pyrite in an argillic matrix. The clasts range from 0.05m to 1m in diameter.

Roble

Additional rock chip channel samples were taken at another anomaly, El Roble. The El Roble Anomaly is located within the Las Naves mining concession, 1.2 kilometers NNW from the El Gallo Anomaly and 300 meters West from Roble 1. Mineralization is hosted in a one meter wide vein consisting of massive chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite. The host rock is a strongly argilized andesite with disseminated pyrite and small clasts of silica and poly-sulphides. The work program at El Roble continues in order to define the limits of the mineralization.

Results include:

- 4 meters at an average of 1.0 g/t gold and 95 g/t silver; 4.4% copper and 3.0% zinc;

- including 1 meter averaging of 2.04 g/t gold and 295 g/t silver, 15.1% copper and 6.9% zinc.

- 2.2 meters at an average of 1.1 g/t gold, 3.2 g/t silver and 3.2% copper.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 26, 2007) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) announced on October 12th that the drill program had been temporarily suspended due to protests which had occurred at the Company's work site. Management is continuing to work with local communities and the government to ensure that the protestors do not return to the Company's work site and that site safety and security is maintained.

In response to the Company's requests that action be taken to enforce the rule of law and allow the Company to proceed with its work programs, the provincial governor has called for a meeting to be held this weekend. In attendance will be government officials, Company representatives, leaders of the local communities and of the protestors.

Mr. Salazar, President, stated, "I am very pleased with the initiatives taken by the government to deal with this situation. We are all anxious to resume our drill program and this meeting is a positive step in resolving this. Once this meeting takes place the Company will report more precisely when the drill program will resume."

Salazar to Resume Exploration Program at the Curipamba Project, Ecuador and Provides Exploration Update at the Sesmo Sur Anomaly
10/30/2007

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct 30, 2007 (Marketwire via COMTEX News Network) --
Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) is pleased to announce that the Company's work program will resume on October 31st, 2007 with the return of work crews to the field to recommence the Company's exploration program. The drill rig was demobilized to Cuenca and will be re-mobilized with drilling to resume on or about November 15th, 2007.

This prompt resumption of work was a direct result of the meeting held this past weekend in the city of Guaranda with the Vice Minister of Government, the Governor of the Province of Bolivar and various politicians including the Regional Director for the Minister of Mines. Government officials held separate meetings with each group to inform them of the position of the President of the Republic and the Vice Minister regarding mining activities in Ecuador. At the meeting, the Vice Minister told each group that the policy of the President of the Republic and of the Minister of Governance is that all mining projects which comply with legal regulations and requirements will have total support of the Government. In the case of Salazar's Project, which has followed all applicable laws, the Government advised that they will give Salazar total support so that Salazar can execute on its ongoing exploration plans. All groups were instructed that they need to understand and abide by the position that the Government outlined. In future, the Government will not tolerate what transpired at Salazar's site and any such violations will be investigated and pursued with the authority and force of the law. There are no guarantees that other issues will not arise in the future, however the strong support of the various government authorities is clearly on the record. The Government stated that they will not allow this to happen again and assured Salazar that it will have full judicial authority on a move forward basis.

To quote President Correa's radio address to the country from this past weekend "Mining yes, but with proper controls, with appropriate consultation with the community, respecting the community, the environment and the State." President Correa indicated that if a company complies with these four points, mining will be welcome in Ecuador.

In response to these developments, Mr. Salazar, President, stated, "I am very happy with the outcome of the meeting and look forward to resuming our exploration activities; we are in the very early stages of our program and there remains a lot of work to be done. We have a significant exploration program planned to test the numerous exciting and high priority drill targets we have identified."

EXPLORATION UPDATE

Salazar also wishes to announce the results from the recently initiated geophysical survey on the Sesmo Sur grid, at the Curipamba Project in Central West Ecuador. Work completed to date includes a ground magnetic total field survey at 25 meter stations covering an area approximately 3.5 kilometres west to east and 2 kilometres north to south and an induced polarization survey at 25 meter stations covering 7 line kilometres.

Initial results indicate:

- A significant magnetic low corresponding with an identified zone of hydrothermal breccias; the flanking magnetometer highs imply unaltered surrounding mafic rocks. (Figures 1,3).

- A significant induced polarization anomaly on lines 9300 to 9500 has amplitudes consistent with very high chargeability values that are characteristic of semi-massive to massive sulphide bodies. Line 9600 appears to indicate the limit of the anomalous unit to the north; however it is open to the south of line 9300. (Figures 1,4,5,6,7) The anomaly is clearly observed in the data over 300 meters in length, 150 meters in width and shallowly dipping to the west. It appears to broaden at a depth of 120 meters with observed continuation below 200 meters. The anomalous zone strikes approximately N 20 E.

To summarize, the magnetic low corresponds with the hydrothermal breccias identified at surface through channel sampling and from the first two drill hole results; the IP anomaly indicates a semi-massive to massive sulphide body (one of our VMS targets) that is open to the south, and is open and broadens at depth below 200 meters with a 300 meter x 150 meter aerial extent identified to date. The data suggests that there will be an increase in aerial extent. These results coincide with the theoretical geological model proposed from the outset of the recent drill program that the Company believes that Sesmo Sur is an area that has potential VMS targets within a regional epithermal vein system. The IP geophysical signatures suggest the model is still intact.

"These results are very encouraging not only for their strong geophysical response but also as supporting evidence for the geological model and the coincident geochemical anomalies," confirmed John Buckle, P.Geo., P.Geoph., who has been hired to assist in interpreting the geophysical survey.

Mr. Fredy Salazar, President, stated, "The IP results describe only one of nine main geochemical anomalies discovered during the rock chip channel sampling program at the Curipamba Project. The IP results covered only 7 linear kilometers of 100 linear kilometers programmed and planned. This encourages us to continue exploring the enormous potential of our Project."

The recent drill holes completed have not tested these strong IP geophysical anomalies. Instead, the initial small amount of data that the Company has gathered from the first two drill holes successfully intersected the hydrothermal breccias corresponding with the magnetic low and coincident geochemical anomalies. The first two drill holes were located to the south of the strongest geochemical anomalies encountered to date at Sesmo Sur's El Lobo geochemical anomaly (Figure 1, 2). The drill plan was to start in the south and work north towards the strongest geochemical channel samples (Figure 2); however, due to the recent disruption, no results can be provided for the remaining drill holes. These drill holes will be re-drilled in addition to drilling the significant IP anomalies recently identified.

Hole CURI-07-001, assay results include: 12 meters at an average grade of 2.25 g/t gold, 31 g/t silver and 0.60 % zinc; 3.9 meters at an average of 1.79 g/t gold, 8.4 g/t silver and 2.76 % zinc.

Both drill holes encountered mineralization from near surface and confirmed the magnetic low. Drill hole number two was collared at the same location as drill hole one and drilled in the opposite direction to understand the potential eastern boundaries of the hydrothermal breccias encountered in drill hole one explaining the shorter mineralized interval.

In sum, the drill program is just underway, providing the Company with important information to understand and confirm our theoretical geological models. The phase 1 drill program has completed 2 of 58 drill holes and the geophysical survey will be expanded significantly from the results received to date.

Mr. Salazar, President, stated "These first assays clarify what we had first observed at surface and encourages us to continue with the drill program along this and other anomalies. Having positive results in the first holes, and considering that our anomalous area is extensive, we have many promising opportunities to explore."

Ecuador to revoke non-producing mining concessions
Saturday November 10, 11:22 am ET

SANTIAGO (Reuters) - Hoping to inject life into the country's lackluster mining industry, Ecuador President Rafael Correa said in an interview with Reuters on Saturday he would revoke concessions on properties that are not being exploited.

Correa also said he plans to renegotiate current terms with companies that are exploring for minerals in the Andean country.

Ecuador is in the heart of mineral-rich South America, but it has little real mining output, in part because speculators have bought up thousands of concessions and are holding them in the hopes of selling them at a higher price in the future.

"There are five or six companies that are producing, and we'll negotiate with them, but we will revoke the concessions from the rest of them," Correa said on the last day of a three-day summit of Latin leaders in the Chilean capital Santiago. He did not mention the companies by name.

Mining concessions in Ecuador are currently cheap to hold, subject to a low and renewable annual ownership fees.

Ecuador is also working to establish contracts between the government and mining companies that will set royalties at a referential price for the mineral extracted, but as with oil deals, mining firms will have to share part of their windfall revenues if metals' price rise in the market.

Mining companies currently have no contracts with the government and do not pay royalties.

Canadian companies such as Corriente Resources (Toronto:CTQ.TO - News; AMEX:ETQ - News), Iamgold Corp (IMG.T0) and Aurelian Resources (Toronto:ARU.TO - News) are exploring for gold and copper in Ecuador.

Pressemitteilung 29. November 2007

Salazar Resources Ltd. – Brief des Präsidenten

Vancouver, British Columbia, 29.

Salazar Mobilizes Second Drill Rig to Las Naves at the Curipamba Project, Ecuador
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 19, 2007) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) is pleased to announce a second drill rig has been mobilized and has now commenced drilling at the Company's Las Naves Area at the Curipamba Project, Ecuador. Thirty drill holes are planned for a total of 5000 metres. First, the drill will test the El Gallo anomaly. The drill plan is to complete 4 holes at the El Gallo anomaly, and then move the drill to the Roble, Roble Uno, Guayabillo, and Cade South anomalies for a total of 10 drill holes. The remaining holes of the drill program will be dictated from the initial drill results. We anticipate the first drill results in January, 2008.

The Las Naves Area comprises over 12 significant mineralized anomalies discovered at surface over an area 2km x 1km. For detailed maps of all the anomalies please review the Company's prior news releases. The Company is focused on discovering large tonnage deposits. The Company believes that at Las Naves there is a relationship between all mineralized anomalies; the goal of the drill program is to prove this theory correct.

Previous sampling results at El Gallo collected from several outcrops and sub-crops include (previously reported 2007-03-20):

- 17 m averaging 11.2 grams per tonne gold and 505 g/t silver

- 12 m averaging 7.09 g/t gold and 299 g/t silver

- 10 m averaging 12.13 g/t gold and 235 g/t silver

To view the map of the Curipamba Project please click on the following link: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl1219map.jpg

The first drill continues to test anomalies identified during the recent ground geophysics program at Sesmo Sur. Drill hole CURI-07-013 has been completed with an additional 10 drill holes planned for the completion of the Phase 1 drilling program at Sesmo Sur. Results are pending and are anticipated in January, 2008.

Since the recommencement of the exploration program in October, a field work program has been ongoing with 500 samples collected to date from trenching, channeling, chip and grab. Line cutting for ground geophysics grids is also ongoing. The samples have been shipped and are being assayed with results to be available early in the New Year.

Mr. Salazar, President and CEO, stated, "We are excited to finally test the El Gallo anomaly as we have encountered some of our highest grades project-wide from this mineralized breccia zone. Having two drills will allow us to accelerate our drill program and react quickly to positive drill results through follow-up drilling."

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 11, 2008) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) reports that the current drill program at Curipamba is progressing well with two drill rigs turning. One drill rig is located at Sesmo Sur and the other drill rig is located at the Las Naves mining concession at the Curipamba project.

A total of 21 holes have been drilled to date: 13 holes for a total of 2,653 meters at Sesmo Sur and 8 holes for a total of 1,087 meters at Las Naves. Two anomalies have been drilled at Las Naves including 5 holes at the El Gallo anomaly and 3 holes at the Roble 1 anomaly.

Highlights of channel sampling at the Las Naves anomalies include:

El Gallo: 17m averaging 11.2 g/t Au, 505 g/t Ag; 10m averaging 12.13 g/t Au and 235 g/t Ag; 12m averaging 7.09 g/t Au and 299 g/t Ag. Roble Uno: 3.6 meters averaging 15.12 g/t gold, 258 g/t silver, 0.56% copper, 3.25% lead and 5.25% zinc.

Thirteen drill holes have been recently sent to the BSI Inspectorate assay lab in Lima, Peru from both target areas. Assays are due shortly.

We are also pleased to announce the geophysics team from Geofisica Consultores de Peru has resumed their work program. The work program includes 17 line kilometers of both ground magnetics and induced polarization at Las Naves and 48 line kilometres of induced polarization at Sesmo Sur which completes the grid previously started upon.

The Company is looking forward to an exciting and aggressive drilling season for 2008 at the Company's projects.

Salazar Reports High Grade Assays From El Gallo With 4.57 m at 9.45 g/t Gold and 337 g/t Silver
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2008) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL)(FRANKFURT:CCG) is pleased to announce further results from its initial diamond drill program at the Curipamba Project in Central West Ecuador.

The program continues progressing well with two diamond drill rigs operating 24 hour shifts. The first drill remains at Sesmo Sur testing the IP anomaly encountered during the ground geophysics program; the second drill rig remains at Las Naves Central testing the geochemical anomalies previously identified. The Company is currently on drill hole #25 of the Phase 1 10,500 metre drill program.

Highlights of the latest drill holes from the El Gallo Anomaly at Las Naves Central:

Drill holes 15, 16 and 17: the following drill holes successfully intersected a breccia zone with clasts of polysulphides plus barite in an argillic matrix (to see Figure 2, for all drill hole locations at Las Naves Central, please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0121figure2.jpg).

Drill hole 12: Silicified andesite with moderate pyrite stockwork and local chalcopyrite and sphalerite.

Drill cores 6 through 8 were compromised due to the disruption in October. Drill holes 10, 11 and 13 reported no significant values (to see Figure 1, for all drill hole locations at Sesmo Sur, please click on: http://www.ccnmatthews.com/docs/srl0121figure1.jpg).

Mr. Fredy Salazar states, "We are encouraged with the initial drill results we are seeing at Las Naves Central. The grades intersected we believe are significant and with focused follow-up exploration the potential at this Project remains excellent. We are also encouraged that we are experiencing no more interruptions to our program and that our team is drilling efficiently and completing holes at a rapid pace. More drill results are pending from the Roble and Roble Uno anomalies at Las Naves Central and will be released shortly."

Dr. Howard Lahti, P. Geo, the qualified person for the company, has reviewed this news release for its accuracy.

A QC program was used whereby 5% of all samples sent to the laboratory were standard samples with known silver and gold values. Sample preparation was performed by BSI Inspectorate Quito, Ecuador, using standard industry practices (sample prep minus 32). Analytical work was carried out at the BSI Inspectorate Laboratory in Lima, Peru, using fire assay methods for gold (Au-25 procedure). Standard samples, blanks and duplicate check samples were randomly inserted to the sample batch to ensure quality control.
