Silvermex Resources Achieves Positive Cash Flow and Low Cost Production at Its La Guitarra Mine

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 15, 2011) - Silvermex Resources Inc. ("Silvermex") (TSX:SLX) reported today its unaudited financial and operating results for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. The Company is currently ramping up production at its La Guitarra mine, as well as conducting extensive exploration within the district and at its other key projects.

Highlights from the quarter include:

Positive cash flow from operations of $400,000 was achieved.
Gross profits of $1.1 million were achieved on revenues of $2.8 million.
Positive adjusted EBITDA of $80,000 on adjusted net loss of $500,000 was achieved.
Net losses decreased by 27% over the second quarter of 2010.
The La Guitarra mine produced 81,400 ounces of silver and 1,111 ounces of gold.
Total cash costs of silver produced was US$4.45 per ounce, net of gold credits.
Average realized silver price was US$39.03 per ounce and average realized gold price was US$1,502.64.

Financial Results

The Company achieved a gross profit of $1.1 million for the three months ended June 30, 2011, on sales of gold and silver of $2.8 million, compared with a gross loss of $600,000 for the comparative 2010 period on sales of gold and silver of $200,000.

The Company incurred a net loss of $1.2 million for the three months ended June 30, 2011 compared with net loss of $1.7 million for the same period in 2010. The improvement in net loss is mainly attributable to increased production of gold and silver as well as increases in grade recoveries over the same period in 2010. Production grades for the quarter averaged 174 g Ag/t and 2.4 g Au/t. Recoveries to concentrate for the quarter averaged 90% for silver and 88.5% for gold.

At June 30, 2011, the Company had working capital of $23.8 million, cash on hand and short term investments of $20.6 million and current assets of $28.3 million. Operating activities generated cash of $400,000, compared with cash used of $2.3 million for the same period in 2010.

Production Results

Silver production for the second quarter of 2011 decreased 12.5% over the first quarter of 2011 and gold production decreased by 6%. This decrease was due, in part, to restricted cyanide deliveries to the Company's refiner as a result of the flooding of DuPont's cyanide production facility in Memphis, TN. This caused the Company to stockpile inventories to capacity and eventually interrupt production as the refinery was unable to receive and process the Company's silver and gold. During this interruption the Company took advantage of the time to perform annual routine maintenance on the plant. It is anticipated that this inventory will be shipped and processed in the third quarter. Furthermore, during the quarter, Silvermex was mining some of the available lower grade stopes due to the lack of past mine development. As the Company continues to focus on mine development and production, continued improvement in grade and production levels are anticipated for the remainder of the year.

During 2011 the Company plans significant levels of underground drilling and mine development with the goal of having sufficient reserves and working areas developed to support operating the La Guitarra mill at capacity prior to year's end. "We are confident that we will continue to meet our objectives over the remainder of the year and achieve full capacity by Q4", stated Michael Callahan, President of SIlvermex. "Even with the decrease in production due to the ongoing mine development and the cyanide shortage, which forced us to stockpile silver and gold during the quarter, we have still exceeded our internal budgets for production, and have surpassed that of the same period in 2010. We've also achieved greater grades and recoveries than our internal expectations for the quarter."

The Company's long term goal remains focused on expanding production from the La Guitarra mine and to continue to evaluate expansion opportunities to take advantage of the potential of the Temascaltepec mining district. This will require a well-managed and successful surface exploration and drilling program, the compilation of existing exploration data, improved mining practices, increased underground development and additional capital projects. Underground drilling is currently ongoing, and surface drilling is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2011.

This earnings release should be read in conjunction with Silvermex's MD&A, Financial Statements and Notes to Financial Statements for the corresponding period, which have been posted on SEDAR at www.sedar.com as well as on the Company's website at www.silvermexresources.com.

Guten Morgen k8003!

LGO, Largo Resources

Aktuell shares outstanding: 403 Mio
fully diluted: 803 Mio

Angaben aus denen sich die share-Anzahl fd ergeben wurden in der Finanzierungsmeldung vom 11.04.2011 gemacht:

Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. Announces Second Quarter Results for 2011

Yukon Nevada Gold Corp YNG 8/16/2011 6:30:00 AMVANCOUVER, Aug. 16, 2011, 2011 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX News Network) --
Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. (TSX: YNG) (Frankfurt Xetra Exchange: NG6) (the "Company") today announced its financial and operational results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011. This information should be read in conjunction with the Company's condensed consolidated interim financial statements, including the notes thereto, and Management's Discussion and Analysis. All dollar amounts are expressed in United States Dollars unless otherwise specified.

http://www.stockhouse.com/News/CanadianReleasesDetail.aspx?n=8276962

Jerritt Canyon Overview

During the second quarter the Company produced 22,168 ounces and sold 18,341 of these ounces at an average gold price of $1,541. Another 1,000 of these ounces were transferred to a third party in settlement of a forward contract that became due on June 30. Production continued to experience lower production levels as the processing mill experienced extended shutdown periods resulting from low spare parts inventory levels. With the financing raised late in the quarter the Company began building up these inventory levels again and subsequent results should show improvement in overall production levels.

Yukon-Nevada, Deutsche Bank close forward contract deal

2011-08-15 07:24 ET - News Release

Mr. Richard Moritz reports

YUKON-NEVADA GOLD CORP. CLOSES $120 MILLION AGREEMENT WITH DEUTSCHE BANK

Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. has closed the forward gold purchase agreement with Deutsche Bank AG, London branch, as announced on Aug. 3, 2011. Deutsche Bank has financed a $120-million (U.S.) prepaid gold forward facility to Queenstake Resources USA Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

The company has received the required shareholder approvals in accordance with Section 604(d) of the TSX Company Manual and Multilateral Instrument 61-101 and has satisfied all of the closing conditions and internal approval requirements.

The facility is a forward contract structured to deliver 173,880 ounces of gold over a 48-month term. The schedule of gold payments is set forth as follows: during the first six months of the term, 1,000 ounces per month; for the next six months of the term, 2,000 ounces per month; for the final 36 months of the term, 4,330 ounces per month. The 173,880 ounces of gold that have been committed under this gold facility represent approximately 24.3 per cent of the gold reserves or 5.1 per cent of the total gold resources at Queenstake's wholly owned Jerritt Canyon property in Nevada, U.S.

The gold pricing valuation has been finalized and subsequent to the receipt of the $120-million (U.S.) prepayment, the remainder of the purchase price for the gold will be paid to Queenstake upon completion of the monthly gold deliveries to Deutsche Bank and will be equal to the amount that the gold price exceeds $850 (U.S.) up to a maximum gold price of $1,950 (U.S.) (an increase from $1,700 (U.S.) as previously disclosed).

Use of proceeds from the gold facility include repayment of senior secured notes issued to noteholders led by Sprott Asset Management LP in August, 2010, and the remainder of the proceeds are to be used for the capital expenditures at the Jerritt Canyon property, including the winterization of the processing facility, construction of the tailings storage facility, and development of the existing underground and open pit mines in addition to further improvements to the gold production processes to enhance throughput at the mill.

We seek Safe Harbor.

Trade Winds Begins 20,000 Metre Drill Program on Block A

http://www.stockhouse.com/News/CanadianReleasesDetail.aspx?n=8277326

Trade Winds Ventures Inc TWD 8/16/2011 8:30:03 AMVANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug 16, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Trade Winds Ventures Inc. (TSX-V: TWD, FSE: TVR) is pleased to announce the start of the second-half drill program of 2011 on Block A (2H 2011), located adjacent to Detour Gold's Detour Lake gold project in northeastern Ontario. The Joint Venture partners (50% Trade Winds / 50% Detour Gold) have approved a 20,000 metre (70 holes) drilling program designed to continue increasing the confidence level of the resource estimate and testing areas outside the Block A pit shell with the objective of expanding the known mineral resources. Trade Winds is the operator of the Joint Venture exploration program.

There are two objectives for this program. Much like the previous 2010 (12,000 metres) and the 1H 2011 (30,000 metres) drill programs, the 2H 2011 program is planned to expand detailed infill drilling and exploration drilling. Two diamond drill rigs will be utilized from mid-August 2011 to December 2011 to accomplish this.

A portion of the deposit located between grid lines 15,420E and 15,740E will be drilled on 40 metre by 40 metre centres to increase the confidence level of the mineral resource. A total of 54 drill holes, approximately 77% of the drill program, is planned for this infill drilling, some of which are in previously untested areas within the current pit shell. On Block A, drill spacing of closer than 80 metres is required for the category of inferred resources and closer than 40 metres for indicated resources.

As part of a continuing program to explore Block A, a total of 16 drill holes, approximately 23% of the drill program, is planned to test areas outside the current pit shell. This exploration drilling will focus on the area west of the North Walter Lake zone. The objective is to test for mineralization up to 320 metres to the west and extend the pit shell of the North Walter Lake zone westward. This area is largely untested and will be drilled on 80 metre by 80 metre centres.

In addition to the drilling program and incorporated as part of the 2H 2011 Joint Venture budget of approximately $6 million, infill sampling of previously drilled but unsampled core will continue in 2H 2011. It is anticipated that up to 10,000 metres of previously unsampled drill core from within the pit shell will be sampled and included, together with the results from the 1H 2011 and 2H 2011 drilling, in the next block model and resource estimate update at the end of the 2H 2011 program.

The material in this news release has been prepared and reviewed by Stephen Wallace, P. Geo, VP Exploration, a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101.

Woulfe Mining Valuation Opinion

http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/woulfe-mining-valuation-opinion-tsx-venture-wof-1550152.htm

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 16, 2011) - Woulfe Mining Corp. ("Woulfe" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:WOF)(OTCQX:WFEMF) is pleased to announce a Valuation Opinion of the fair market value of Sangdong Mining Corporation, which owns the Sangdong Tungsten-Molybdenum Project ("Sangdong") in Korea. The Valuation Opinion has been prepared by Ross Glanville & Associates Ltd of Vancouver, Canada ("Glanville"). The full report will be submitted to SEDAR.

Glanville is of the opinion that the after-tax value of Sangdong, after paying the 2% net smelter return royalty, is approximately US$300 million, within a reasonable range from US$200 million to US$400 million. This Valuation Opinion takes into account a 50% reduction from the calculated net present value, as the project Prefeasibility and Feasibility Studies are yet to be completed. Woulfe is on target to publish the Prefeasibility Study and the full Feasibility Study later this year.

In the method used for this valuation, annual cash flows are projected over the expected life of the project, and these cash flows are then discounted at an appropriate rate to arrive at a Net Present Value. A comprehensive in-house cash flow model has been prepared and reviewed by Glanville. That comprehensive model has been utilized by Glanville to generate cash flow projections based on a number of different input parameters and assumptions, some of which are different from those utilized by Woulfe (including a higher estimated capital cost). Some of the key input assumptions include a sales price of US$375 per metric tonne unit of WO3 (in ammonium paratungstate), a twenty-one year mine life at an annual mill-feed production rate of 1.2 million tonnes, an average grade of 0.41% WO3, and an after-tax constant-dollar discount rate of 8%.

Brian Wesson, CEO and President of Woulfe, commented, "The Valuation Opinion is within the range we were expecting. We undertook this valuation to assist the Woulfe Board in evaluating potential transactions that may eventuate. With this document in hand, the Board will be in a better position to make decisions in the best interest of Woulfe shareholders."

As the information provided in the Valuation Opinion does not contain an economic analysis which conforms with National Instrument 43-101, the economic viability of Sangdong will remain uncertain until completion of at least the Prefeasibility Study, which is expected in a couple of months.

As previously announced, the Company commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC") to undertake a valuation of Sangdong, and this valuation has been completed. However, due to the confidential nature of some of the information contained in the report by PwC, it will not be submitted to SEDAR. The conclusions of the PwC report are consistent with this Valuation Opinion.

Critical Elements Corporation: Metallurgy of the Rose Deposit Lithium Recovery of 90.7% at a Grade of 5.87% Li2O and Tantalum Recovery of 84.8% at a Grade of 1,016 ppm Ta2O5

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 16, 2011) - Critical Elements Corporation (TSX VENTURE:CRE)(OTCQX:CRECF)(FRANKFURT:F12) is pleased to report the last results of the metallurgical testing program for its Rose deposit, James Bay, Quebec.

Results from the metallurgical testing program for the treatment of the Rose Deposit were provided by Acme Metallurgical Limited of Vancouver.

The tests were carried out on a composite from mineralized drill cores from sections 0+60 W to 4+80 E which were encountered above a depth of 100 metres from surface, as of January 2011, thus providing a highly representative composite of the material to be mined within the first ±8 years of operation. These were the drill holes available at the time that the metallurgical program was initiated.

The grind size required is coarse at 0.265 mm (265 micrometers) for full liberation of the spodumene and tantalite. An extensive program of kinetic flotation determined the best combination of operating conditions, repeatability of results and simplicity of processing using a flotation reagents combination of FA-2 (fatty acid) and other industrial chemicals.

The process consists of coarse grinding followed by rougher flotation, one cleaner flotation followed by a short scavenger flotation circuit. Desliming is not necessary.

The final flotation results obtained were a recovery of 90.7% for lithium at a grade of 5.87% Li2O and 84.8% for tantalum at a grade of 1016 ppm Ta2O5, without recycling. Recycling to be tested later may improve results further.

The grades obtained in the concentrate, including for all other contained elements, are in the normal range for the production of lithium chemicals by the common processes used industrially (Li2CO3, LiOH or LiF).

Preliminary tests have indicated that the tantalite can be separated from the spodumene by magnetic separation to produce a high grade tantalite concentrate. Further tests are being performed in Vancouver. Results will be published shortly.

In parallel to this program, an additional testing program is presently being carried out in China.

"These positive results are in line with the high quality low risks mining project scenario that the major consumers in the critical metals markets are looking for," stated Jean-Sébastien Lavallée, President & CEO of Critical Elements Corporation.
