Wäre hier in jedem Fall vorsichtig, da..

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/15/11 -- Hathor Exploration Limited (HAT:TSX) ("Hathor") confirms that approximately 107,343,487 Hathor common shares have been validly tendered to Rio Tinto plc (LSE:RIO)(ASX:RIO)(NYSE:RIO) as of 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on December 12, 2011, through an indirect wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary ("Rio Tinto"). The tendered common shares represent 84.26 per cent of the outstanding common shares of Hathor, other than the Hathor common shares already held by an affiliate of Rio Tinto.

Rio Tinto on December 12, 2011, extended its offer to acquire all the common shares of Hathor for C$4.70 in cash per common share until 5:00 pm EST on December 22, 2011. Shareholders are advised that the administrative procedures established by brokers and other intermediaries may cause a delay in their ability to accept tender instructions following this extension of Rio Tinto's offer, however Rio Tinto understands that all such intermediaries should be able to process tenders of Hathor common shares from December 16, 2011 onwards.

All common shares validly tendered and not withdrawn prior to the expiry of the offer will be taken up on a daily basis and Rio Tinto will pay for such shares within three business days of take-up. Hathor shareholders whose shares are registered in the name of an investment advisor, stockbroker, bank, trust company should contact their intermediary before 5:00 pm EST on December 22, 2011, to ensure they meet any tendering cut-off times established by the intermediaries.

Hathor also announces the changes to its Board of Directors. Pursuant to the support agreement between Rio Tinto and Hathor, Jim Malone (Chairman), Ben Ainsworth and Martin Glynn have resigned from the Board. Michael Gunning and John Currie remain on the Board and are joined by the following new members from Rio Tinto: Dominique Bouchard (Chairman), Simon Wensley, Stephen Scott and Justin Quigley.

Kiska Reports results from the first 3 holes drilled on the Muddy Creek Prospect, Whistler Project, Alaska

VANCOUVER, Dec. 15, 2011 /CNW/ - Kiska Metals Corporation ("Kiska" or "the Company") reports drill results from three reconnaissance drill holes at the Muddy Creek Prospect, Whistler Project, located 160 kilometres northwest of Anchorage, Alaska. These first three drill holes, tested the southwestern edge of a 2.4 square kilometre area of anomalous gold in soils and returned significant gold-bearing intersections.

Mineralization at Muddy Creek occurs as consistently developed sheeted veins within a five kilometre-wide diorite-monzonite intrusive complex in the south central part of the Whistler property. The prospect region is partially covered by contour soil sampling that highlights a 2.4 square kilometer area where soil samples average 2.3g/t gold and 0.06% copper. Rock samples collected within a 5.4 square kilometre area average 4.4g/t gold including select samples of individual vein zones and locally derived talus float samples.

Largely due to steep terrain, holes MC11-001 and 002 were situated at the southwestern edge of the gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly, collared 360 metres apart and drilled toward each other. Both holes intersected steep northwest striking sheeted vein arrays. The northeast directed hole, MC11-001, returned 38.8 metres averaging 0.51 g/t gold equivalent within a broader interval of 138.8 metres averaging 0.29g/t gold equivalent. The southwest directed hole, MC11-002, returned intervals of 45.0 metres averaging 0.52g/t gold equivalent and 44.2 metres averaging 0.51 g/t gold equivalent within a broad 338.1 metre interval averaging 0.30g/t gold equivalent. Hole MC11-003 was designed to test the Bonanza Zone, 3.3 kilometres to the southeast where 12 selective rock samples of outcrop and a few locally derived float samples averaged 9.0g/t gold over a 340 metre distance along the slope. The hole targeted the vein-hosting diorite beneath capping sediments, however, the hole failed to reach the intended diorite target and was shut down in sediments.

"From our first attempt at testing the Muddy Creek target, it is obvious that it is a large gold-bearing system. Our holes, which in effect only tested one edge of the anomaly, are certainly encouraging," stated Mark Baknes, VP Exploration of Kiska. "It's early days in terms of our understanding of Muddy Creek, but it is a distinct target from Whistler and Island Mountain and shares a resemblance to examples of Intrusion Related Gold (IRG) systems like Fort Knox in the Fairbanks District and to targets being pursued by a joint Millrock-Teck exploration effort immediately adjacent to the west of Muddy Creek. The presence of another large gold-bearing system on the property underscores that the Whistler Property is an emerging gold district with a diversity of mineralization styles. A plan map for Muddy Creek can be found at http://www.kiskametals.com/s/Whistler.asp?ReportID=406237.

Hecla Reports Update on Lucky Friday Mine

Hecla Mining Company (“Hecla”) (NYSE:HL) reports that all miners have been safely removed from the Lucky Friday mine near Mullan, Idaho, following a rock burst that occurred Wednesday, December 14, at approximately 7:40 p.m.

“We are thankful that all employees are out of the mine and have been accounted for, and that those injured have been treated. The safety of our employees is our primary concern,” said Phil Baker, President and Chief Executive Officer. “The mine is currently shut down, and once we have cared for our people, we will be investigating the cause of the seismic activity.”

The incident occurred at 5900 feet below the surface. Seven people were transported to local hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No mine blasting had taken place anywhere in the mine for the previous 24 hours; therefore, the rock burst is unrelated to mining activities. The mine is currently closed pending further investigation. The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration has been notified and investigators are en route to the mine.

For up-to-date information and a video message from our President and CEO, Phil Baker, please visit Hecla’s homepage of the website at www.hecla-mining.com.

Batero Gold Extends Mineralization Length at Dos Quebradas Porphyry to 950 Metres

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 15, 2011) - Batero Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BAT) is pleased to report the latest drill results from its recently completed 55,755 metre 2011 diamond drill program on the company's 100-per-cent-owned Batero-Quinchia project in Risaralda, Colombia. A total of nine holes (4,118.59 metres) are being released. Today's results are from delineation and in-fill drilling at Dos Quebradas porphyry and delineation drill testing the western and south-central extents at El Centro.

The drill holes reported in this release have extended in a north-south strike length the gold and copper mineralization at Dos Quebradas to approximately 950 metres. Drill hole SB-021 is located on the northern boundary of the Company's concession and drill hole MZ-004 is located in the south and west zone at El Centro. (Please refer to figure 1 Plan Map and figure 2 Plan Map for Dos Quebradas drill hole locations.)

To view the map associated with this press release, "figure 1 Plan Map," please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Fig1planmapBAT1512.pdf.

To view the map associated with this press release, "figure 2 Plan Map," please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/Fig2planmapBAT1512.pdf.

"We are encouraged by the continuity of the Dos Quebradas gold-copper system from the El Centro porphyry mineralization in the south through to our concession boundary in the north. The drill results show a large extension of intrusion related porphyry mineralization within the basalt host rocks continuing to the northern limits of our concession. Also, the new results indicate that mineralization is present near surface and at depth," stated Brandon Rook, President and CEO.

"We are also pleased with the results from the drill holes testing the western extent of the El Centro zone which intersected significant porphyry style mineralization in drill hole MZ-004 and higher grade epithermal mineralization discovered in drill hole MZ-005 (Manzanillo) which possibly may connect to the epithermal mineralization intersected to the south at La Cumbre."

Drill hole highlights include:

SB-021 intersecting from 227.00 metres below surface, 138.00 metres grading 0.70 g/t gold and 0.06% copper; including 96.00 metres grading 0.82 g/t gold and 0.08% copper.

SB-017 intersecting from 8.00 metres below surface, 265.00 metres grading 0.35 g/t gold and 0.08% copper.

MZ-004 intersecting from 39.00 metres below surface, 100.00 metres grading 0.56 g/t gold and 0.04% copper; including 58.00 metres grading 0.75 g/t gold and 0.04% copper.

(For results of all drill holes please refer to Table 1, and 2)

Five drill holes (SB-011, SB-012, SB-014, SB-015 and SB-017) located in the Dos Quebradas south-El Centro zone are significant as these holes were also mineralized lending more evidence that the mineralization is continuous between Dos Quebradas porphyry in the north and La Cumbre porphyry in the south.

Exploratory drilling continues to expand the expected zone of higher grade epithermal gold mineralization which is believed to be overprinting the porphyry mineralization. Drill hole MZ-005 was drilled to test the western extent of the El Centro zone and epithermal mineralization was discovered at depth intersecting 1.26 g/t gold over a two metre interval. Other drill holes located nearby MZ-005 that have also intersected epithermal mineralization include QAP-DDH-044 located approximately 300 metres west-southwest grading 1.75 g/t gold over a two metre interval and QAP-DDH-034 located approximately 180 metres south-southeast grading 3.73 g/t gold and 0.02% copper over 23.30 metres; including 11.42 g/t gold over 5.80 metres (N.R. July 27, 2011). The epithermal mineralization intersected near surface and at depth at La Cumbre and discovered at, or near surface at El Centro will continue to be delineated along the trend of the Amarilla Structural Corridor.

The Company has completed its 55,755 metre 2011 diamond drill program and anticipates receiving final drill results from the entire 2011 drill program during December, 2011. The Company will finalize its initial resource estimate by the end of the year, and will publish its first independent resource estimate report by Roscoe Postle Associates Inc. in January, 2012. The mineral resource estimate report will comprise approximately 60,000 metres of diamond drilling, being 55,755 metres from the Company's drill program and the remaining metres from historical drilling, and will also include the results from the Company's initial metallurgical test work prepared by G&T Metallurgical Services. For a full corporate update see news release November 30, 2011.

A new website (www.explorebatero.com) has recently been uploaded describing the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This also includes six short documentary movies that explore Batero's sustainability commitments.
