First Mining's Goldlund at 560,000 oz Au indicated

2017-01-09 07:21 ET - News Release

Mr. Keith Neumeyer reports

FIRST MINING REPORTS INITIAL GOLD RESOURCE ESTIMATE FOR THE GOLDLUND PROJECT IN NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO

First Mining Finance Corp. has released an initial resource estimate for its Goldlund gold project, located near the town of Sioux Lookout in Northwestern Ontario. The company assumed control of the Goldlund project through its amalgamation with Tamaka Gold Corp. on June 17, 2016. The resource estimate was prepared by WSP Canada Inc. of Sudbury, Ont., and has an effective date of Sept. 20, 2016. A technical report for this initial resource estimate for Goldlund, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101, will be filed by the company on SEDAR within 45 days of the date of this news release.

Highlights of the Goldlund deposit

At a 0.4-gram-per-tonne-gold cut-off grade, the Goldlund deposit contains pit-constrained indicated resources of 9.3 million tonnes at 1.87 grams per tonne, or 560,000 ounces of gold.
At a 0.4 g/t Au cut-off grade, the Goldlund deposit contains pit-constrained inferred resources of 40.9 million tonnes at 1.33 grams per tonne, or 1.75 million ounces of gold.

The company expects to commence a 27,000-metre drilling campaign at Goldlund by the end of January, 2017. The goal of the drilling campaign is to upgrade and expand the mineral resources at the Goldlund deposit.

Mundoro drills 80.5 m of 0.51% Cu, 0.15 g/t Au at Byalo

2017-01-09 09:15 ET - News Release

Ms. Teo Dechev reports

MUNDORO ANNOUNCES DRILL RESULTS FROM CHUKA COPPER AND GOLD PORPHYRY IN BULGARIA

Mundoro Capital Inc. has provided assay results from drilling on the company's 100-per-cent-owned Byalo exploration licence, which is located in southeastern Bulgaria in the Rhodopean region of the Tethyan metallogenic belt.

Highlights

The Chuka drill program included 1,000 metres in three inclined diamond drill holes.
A porphyry unit with stockwork mineralization and banded quartz veins outcropping at surface returned a significant copper-gold intersection at depth from drill hole CDD001: 146.5 m at 0.40 per cent Cu and 0.12 g/t Au (0.48 per cent CuEq), from 66.8 m to 213.3 m;
including 80.5 m at 0.51 per cent Cu and 0.15 g/t Au (0.61 per cent CuEq), from 74 m to 154.5 m;
including 20.9 m at 0.72 per cent Cu and 0.11 g/t Au (0.79 per cent CuEq), from 74 m to 94.9 m.

Teo Dechev, chief executive officer and president of Mundoro, commented: "The Chuka porphyry system is a new discovery by the Mundoro team in this proven mineral belt. This initial 1,000-metre drill program tested the stockwork porphyry mapped at surface and has identified two porphyry phases demonstrating a multiphase system. We are encouraged by the broad interval of mineralization intersected in drill hole CDD001 which intersected 146.5 m of 0.48 per cent Cu equivalent down to 213 m which is well within typical depths for open-pit operations. Further drilling will be necessary to determine the extent of the stockwork mineralization which is open in several directions."

East Africa to perform work program at Harvest in 2017

2017-01-09 08:05 ET - News Release

Mr. Andrew Smith reports

EAST AFRICA PROVIDES CORPORATE UPDATES

East Africa Metals Inc. is providing the following updates on the company's activities.

Exploration and drill program

At the Harvest project, additional diamond drilling has been conducted at the VTEM09, Mayshehagne and Lihamat prospects in the last quarter of 2016, with analyses anticipated in the first quarter of 2017. This drilling was primarily to follow up on previous drilling success:

At VTEM09, 10.21 metres at 3.97 grams per tonne gold, 3.16 per cent copper, 87 g/t silver and 3.82 per cent zinc (see news release dated July 23, 2013);

* Original holes and qualifying data released Aug. 8, 2012, July 23, 2013, and Sept. 14, 2015. Minor variance may occur due to quality assurance/quality control interval adjustments.

Work in 2017 will focus primarily on continued resource delineation drilling at Mato Bula and Da Tambuk, and will include testing gold surface exploration targets not yet drill tested on the Adyabo project. Staged geophysical induced polarization surveying will be conducted along the Mato Bula trend, aimed at identifying additional exploration drill targets at depth, in proximity to the currently identified resources.

Mine permit application

The mining permitting application for East Africa's 70-per-cent-owned Terakimti oxide gold project is advancing through the government approval process and making good progress. East Africa has been informed that the Ethiopian Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas has completed their review of the mine permit application and has provided comments to the company. The company has scheduled a meeting with the ministry on Jan. 17, 2017, to discuss the company's responses in detail and any other questions the ministry may have regarding the Terakimti mining permitting application. The permitting application is specifically focused on the Terakimti oxide gold project contained within the Harvest project.

Terakimti oxide gold project profile

Mineral resource: 1,125,000 tonnes grading 3.2 grams per tonne gold and 24.0 grams per tonne silver containing 107,000 ounces of gold and 812,000 ounces of silver;
Simulated heap-leach recoveries: 75.3 per cent gold and 39.7 per cent silver;
Mining method: conventional open pit;
Processing: heap leaching to produce gold-silver dore.

Financing

East Africa is pleased to provide an update on its previously announced financing (see news release dated Nov. 2, 2016).

East Africa has received confirmation from Shandong Tyan Home Co. Ltd. (STH) that it has completed legal, financial and technical due diligence, and that the subscription agreement to acquire 20 million units of East Africa has been executed. Further, the company has received conditional approval from the TSX Venture Exchange for the private placement and the associated personal information form. The company is awaiting the funds to be transferred. Once funds have been received, the company will issue securities and close the financing.

The financing terms include:

STH is to acquire 20 million units of East Africa at a price of 26 cents per unit for gross proceeds of $5.2 million.
Each unit comprises one common share and one-half share purchase warrant with an exercise price of 45 cents.
STH also agreed to provide or identify a partner or lender to provide a $10-million (U.S.) debt financing to support the development of the Terakimti oxide gold project, which is non-binding on STH.
Closing of the private placement is conditional on receipt of TSX Venture Exchange final approval and subscription funds.

Use of proceeds

Once closing of the financing is complete, the company will use the funds for continuing exploration and development of East Africa's Adyabo and Harvest projects located in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, and general working capital.

Jeff Heidema, PGeo, a qualified person under the definitions of National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the contents of this news release.

Taseko's Gibraltar produces 133.2 M lb Cu in 2016

2017-01-09 13:22 ET - News Release

Mr. Russell Hallbauer reports

TASEKO ANNOUNCES RECORD QUARTERLY COPPER AND MOLYBDENUM PRODUCTION AT GIBRALTAR

Taseko Mines Ltd.'s Gibraltar project had fourth quarter copper production of 40.7 million pounds and 800,000 pounds of molybdenum. Total production for the year was 133.2 million pounds of copper and 900,000 pounds of molybdenum (for the four months the molybdenum plant operated). Total sales for the year were 131.1 million pounds of copper and 900,000 pounds of molybdenum.

Despite challenging weather conditions in the fourth quarter, mill throughput was maintained at a similar level to previous quarters. The 23-per-cent increase in copper production over the third quarter was mainly a result of higher copper grades, as planned, but also from improved copper recoveries. The fourth quarter was the first full quarter the molybdenum plant has operated since it was restarted in September. It operated exceptionally well, with recoveries averaging approximately 50 per cent for the quarter.

Russell Hallbauer, president and chief executive officer of Taseko, stated: "We are extremely happy with copper and molybdenum production in the fourth quarter. It is a quarter that truly demonstrates the production and cash flow capability of Gibraltar. Higher copper and molybdenum production is having a significant positive impact on unit costs.

"Recently, the many factors that affect our profitability have aligned to create an ideal scenario: higher production at a much lower cost, a copper price which has climbed nearly 25 per cent since October and a weak Canadian dollar (which has the Canadian-dollar price of copper back to 2011/2012 levels). Each of these factors has a significant and an immediate financial impact on our business," concluded Mr. Hallbauer.

Note: Gibraltar is a joint venture owned by Taseko Mines (75 per cent) and Cariboo Copper Corp. (25 per cent). All production and sales figures are reported on a 100-per-cent basis, unless otherwise noted.

We seek Safe Harbor.

Taseko loses $19.38-million in Q2

2016-07-26 17:14 ET - News Release

Mr. Russell Hallbauer reports

TASEKO REPORTS SECOND QUARTER 2016 RESULTS

Taseko Mines Ltd. has released the results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2016. (This release should be read with the company's financial statements and management's discussion and analysis, available at the Taseko website and filed on SEDAR. Taseko's 75-per-cent-owned Gibraltar mine is located north of the city of Williams Lake in south-central British Columbia. Production volumes stated in this release are on a 100-per-cent basis unless otherwise indicated.)

Second quarter highlights:

Second quarter loss from mining operations before depletion and amortization* was $3.2-million.
Site operating costs, net of byproduct credits*, were $1.74 (U.S.) per pound produced, and total operating costs (C1)* were $2.07 (U.S.) per pound produced.
Site operating cost per ton milled* was $9.67, slightly higher than the first quarter of 2016 result of $9.59.
Copper production at Gibraltar was 30.6 million pounds (100-per-cent basis).
In the second quarter, the company drew additional loan proceeds of $47-million ($36.8-million (U.S.)) under a senior secured credit facility with an affiliate of RK Mine Finance (Red Kite). The $70-million (U.S.) facility was signed in January, 2016, and has now been fully drawn down.
The company ended the second quarter with a cash balance of $89-million.
On April 14, 2016, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality announced its intention to issue a significant amendment to a temporary aquifer protection permit for the Florence copper project.

Subsequent events:

The company has acquired copper put options for a total of 10 million pounds with maturities in the third quarter of 2016 at a strike price of $2.20 (U.S.) per pound.
On July 20, 2016, Taseko announced that the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office is proceeding with Taseko's request to amend the environmental assessment certificate for its New Prosperity project.

Russell Hallbauer, president and chief executive officer of Taseko, commented: "We produced slightly more copper in the second quarter, compared to the first quarter, mainly as a result of improved copper grades. Throughput per operating day increased quarter over quarter although total tons milled was impacted by maintenance downtime associated with a number of business improvement projects.

"Mining productivities increased quarter over quarter due to short waste hauls associated with the ability to backfill a mined-out section of the Granite pit. We made a decision to take advantage of the higher productivities and mined an additional five million tons of waste this quarter instead of idling equipment and reducing spending. The higher stripping rates will provide access to higher-grade ore earlier than originally planned.

"On a cost-per-ton-milled basis, the mine continued to perform very well, maintaining site operating costs below $10 per ton. Total operating cost per pound of $2.07 (U.S.) was slightly lower in the quarter due to the higher production levels. Looking forward, we expect costs should drop below $2 (U.S.) per pound as copper grades increase in the second half of the year. Additionally, we do not anticipate any major capital spending before the end of the year," continued Mr. Hallbauer.

Mr. Hallbauer concluded: "In recent weeks, we have seen a modest increase in metal prices. Considering the continued volatility in the market, we took advantage of the pricing strength to extend our copper hedges by acquiring put options for August and September with a strike price of $2.20 (U.S.) per pound. Also, with the molybdenum price back to approximately $6.50 (U.S.) per pound, we are reviewing options to restart our molybdenum circuit at Gibraltar. We believe we can produce molybdenum for roughly $4 (U.S.) per pound, which at today's price level, would generate a significant byproduct credit from molybdenum production and improve our overall operating margin."

Mr. Russell Hallbauer reports

BC GOVERNMENT PROCEEDING WITH CERTIFICATE AMENDMENT PROCESS FOR TASEKO'S NEW PROSPERITY PROJECT

The British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office is proceeding with Taseko Mines Ltd.'s request to amend the environmental assessment certificate for its New Prosperity gold-copper project in central British Columbia.

In addition to this undertaking, Taseko will be filing a notice of work with the Ministry of Energy and Mines, which will allow the company to gather information to advance mine permitting under the British Columbia Mines Act. Taseko looks forward to working with the six local Tsilhqot'in First Nation bands, as represented by the Tsilhqot'in national government, on the consultative and substantive aspects of the notice of work as per the terms in the 2012 settlement agreement.

"Ownership and development of mineral resources are explicit areas of provincial jurisdiction and responsibility, granted under the 1982 amendments to the Constitution Act (1867)," commented Russell Hallbauer, president and chief executive officer of Taseko. "The New Prosperity environmental assessment process has been unduly influenced by the actions of the federal government. The fact that the government of British Columbia is moving forward with the certificate amendment process indicates the importance it places on the development of the New Prosperity mine."

Mr. Hallbauer continued: "The government of Canada's position regarding the federal authorizations required for New Prosperity can be rectified if discussions around the salient issues raised by the federal panel in 2013 are objectively and scientifically reviewed. The information we will gather from the notice of work field program will aid those discussions."

New Prosperity is the largest undeveloped gold-copper porphyry in North America and contains 11 million ounces gold and four billion pounds of copper and, when in production, will produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 110 million pounds of copper annually for 20 years.

Moin!

Grew Creek ist in der Tat das interessantere Projekt, als reines Explo-Play (wenn Bravura aehnliche Grades bohrt) waer das nicht schlecht.

Der Wert hat allerdings imho zwei Haken:

1) Grew Creek hat eine underlying 4% NSR, von der GPD nur 1% aufkaufen kann. Das wuerde sich laaaaangfristig negativ auf die Wirtschaftlichkeit auswirken (aber wie erwaehnt, als Explo PLay ok);

2) Gravierender ist, dass der Wert nur auf CSE und nicht TSX gelistet ist, d.h. es ist sauschwer da vernuenftig und liquid zu handeln.
