Largo macht sich wieder schick fuer den naechsten Ausbruch

Ende Mai wurde die Finanzierung zu 0,5 CAD verkuendet, was damals unter Kurs war
aehnlich wie bei Kola und demnaechst PBX sind die Projekte aller drei aber

- im zweistelligen Mrd USD-in-ground Bereich
- in relativ krisensicheren Gegenden
- und v.a. schon relativ weit forteschritten im scoping study, (pre-)feasability Bereich!

die grossen Uebernahmen der vergangenen zwei drei Jahre waren Konsoliderungen mehrheitlich unter den Produzenten, die Drecksarbeit, die grassroot-Exploration wird aber von den kleinen gemacht.

Die Majors werden ueber kurz oder lang neue Projekte brauchen, um ihren Ausstoss konstant halten zu koennen. Die bereits erfolgreichen und fuer Juniors umfangreichen Finanzierungen Kola's und Largo's zeigen dass fuer diese Art Projekte das Geld bereitsteht!

Industriemetalle koennen auch im momentanen Umfeld sexy sein!

EU startet intensive Prüfung von geplanter BHP-Rio-Großfusion

Brüssel (Reuters) - Die EU-Kommission hat eine eingängige Prüfung der geplante Großübernahme des Bergbaukonzerns Rio Tinto durch den australischen Rivalen BHP Billiton eingeleitet.

Die Kartellwächter begründeten dies am Freitag mit Bedenken, die Fusion könne auf den Märkten für Eisenerz, Kohle, Uran und Aluminium zu einem Anstieg der Preise führen. BHP könne auf Einwände reagieren. Die Prüfung läuft bis zum 11. November. BHP will Rio für etwa 170 Milliarden Dollar übernehmen.

Vor allem dürfte die Wettbewerbshüter die Machtstellung eines fusionierten Konzerns auf dem Markt für Eisenerz interessieren. Das Eisenerzgeschäft gilt als einer der strittigsten Punkte bei der geplanten Übernahme, weil Rio und BHP zusammen ein Drittel des auf dem Seeweg transportierten Rohmaterials für Stahl kontrollieren würden.

Wegen des derzeit rapiden Preisanstiegs für Eisenerz ist auch Stahl teurer geworden, weshalb wiederum jüngst auch die deutschen Automobilbauer Alarm schlugen.

None BHP has just announced that they plan on investing $10 billion into fertilizers, and actually spotlighted Canadian Potash Plays.


I recommend investors have at least some exposure to Potash, and RAY.V is just right.

RAY.V just announced options of $1.40, are closing a PP of $1.20, and is currently breaking out, and technically it looks like it will make a quick 25% up move soon.

Plus Credit Swiss First Boston is buying RAY shares aggressively lately.

Also I like CDB as a speculative POTASH/COAL play, its been getting massive volume, and is extremely cheap, actually both RAY and CDB are one of the cheapest Potash plays out there, that's why I like them, and if BHP thinks Potash plays are cheap, so should you.

Sacre-Coeur Minerals Adds Seven New Target Zones at Million Mountain -- Drilling Underway on the New Targets

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - July 7, 2008) - SACRE-COEUR MINERALS, LTD. (TSX-V: SCM) (FRANKFURT: S5N) (the "Company") is pleased to report that field work conducted along the Million Mountain Trend within its Lower Puruni Regional Block located in Central Guyana, South America has identified at least seven new highly prospective targets for gold mineralization in addition to Zone 1 on the Million Mountain Block. Drilling to date has been in and around the main pit at Zone 1. Each of these new zones is characterized by a silica-rich intrusive body intruded into brittle greenstones. In each of the new target zones, the contact and outwash zones from the topographic highs which represent the more resistant intrusive bodies, are strongly anomalous in gold, both in soil geochemical samples and in stream sediment samples.

This depositional model, which is analogous to that of the Million Mountain Zone 1, upon which an initial NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate is currently being prepared, has long been recognized as a likely trend extending for more than eight kilometres along the Company's Million Mountain block of properties. Intensive field work has now confirmed the existence of these additional intrusive bodies with attendant anomalous gold values. At least two of the identified new targets have surface expressions of anomalous gold that appear to be as much as 10 times larger in aerial extent than the Zone 1 intrusion drilled to date.

The length of the intrusive-greenstone interface is a significant indicator of scale of potential gold mineralization within the region. Gold mineralization in these deposits is zonally controlled along the interface of the intrusive rock with the greenstone host where pressure/temperature conditions favored gold deposition. Drilling on the new zones has now begun and is being conducted by Company employees with one of the Company's Atlas Copco CS14 core drills around the clock with double shifts seven days per week.

These additional new zones in close proximity to each other and Zone 1 are anticipated to be combined for a single project resource for a regional project with a single processing facility. The Company's third party Contractors, Pincock, Allen and Holt, are nearing completion of an initial NI 43-101 compliant interim resource estimate for Million Mountain Zone 1. This report will be issued as an interim report for zone 1, as assays for over twenty drill holes remained outstanding at the cut-off date. Long lag time in return of assays and tight availability of third party geologic modeling time have slowed completion and issuance of the initial report. The Company plans to commission a third party NI 43-101 compliant updated resource estimate in a few months to include the balance of the data for Million Mountain Zone 1 plus results to date on additional zones.

According to Irwin Olian, CEO of the Company, "Discovery of these seven additional zones in the lower Puruni project area near Million Mountain is very exciting, as it greatly enhances the potential for a large regional gold project. While the main pit has thus far proven to be somewhat limited in scope and grade, with the exception of several high-grade shoots, two of the new zones have very expansive surface expressions of anomalous gold and suggest the possibility for large bulk operations. Drilling is now underway on the first of these new targets and we are anxious to receive results shortly."

Assay Data

The Company uses Acme Laboratories for its core sample assays. Samples are prepared at Acme's Georgetown Guyana prep facility. Prepared samples are shipped to Acme's analytical lab in Santiago, Chile for determination. Acme's facilities are ISO certified. Every tenth sample is split and a duplicate sample is shipped to ALS Chemex Vancouver, BC facility for check assay. As well, splits of all samples determined by Acme to be 5 g/t Au or greater are also shipped to ALS Chemex for check assay. The results presented herein are composites of the assay of the coarse metallic fraction (+200 mesh) and the assay for the -200 mesh pulp to produce a total contained gold assay.

The Company uses Loring Laboratories - Guyana, a subsidiary of Loring Laboratories, Ltd. of Calgary, Alberta to analyze geo-chem and other field samples. Splits of every 10th sample and splits of all samples returning assay of greater than 5.0 g/t Au are sent to ALS Chemex Vancouver, BC facility for check assay. The results presented herein are composites of the assay of the coarse metallic fraction (+200 mesh) and the assay for the -200 mesh pulp to produce a total contained gold assay.

Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass auch diese Hürde genommen wird, scheint aufgrund des recht geringen Abstands von nur noch 2-3 % relativ hoch. Der Blick auf die Abweichung des Ölpreises von der 200-Tage-Linie zeigt jedoch auch, dass der Markt deutlich überhitzt ist. Insofern ist es gut möglich, dass der Preis demnächst korrigiert und in die Zone zwischen 130 und 140 Dollar zurückfällt.

Damit könnte durchaus Gold wieder etwas mehr in den Blickpunkt geraten. Zu Jahresbeginn machten sowohl Öl als auch das gelbe Metall Schlagzeilen. Gold knackte Anfang Januar das Allzeithoch aus dem Jahr 1980, während der Ölpreis gleichzeitig über die 100-Dollar-Marke stieg. Im März wurde es nochmals turbulent ums Gold als mit 1.030 Dollar pro Unze ein neuer Rekord aufgestellt wurde - danach korrigierte der Preis und zuletzt wurde es relativ ruhig um das Metall. Das könnte sich jetzt sehr schnell ändern, denn die Zeit der Konsolidierung neigt sich möglicherweise dem Ende zu. Mit rund 945 Dollar wurde zuletzt ein 10-Wochen-Hoch erreicht. Fallende Aktienmärkte, steigende Inflationsraten und ein schwächerer Dollar brachten ebenso Unterstützung wie die zuletzt wieder deutlich zunehmende physische Nachfrage von Seiten der Exchange-traded Funds. Mit einem Anstieg über den Widerstand bei 950-955 Dollar wäre auch aus charttechnischer Sicht der Weg nach oben frei. Und schließlich spricht die Gold-Öl-Relation für das wertvolle Metall. In den 80er und 90er Jahren konnten zeitweise mehr als 25 Barrel Öl für eine Unze Gold gekauft werden. Aktuell entspricht eine Unze nur noch dem Gegenwert von 6,5 Barrel Öl und damit so wenig wie noch nie. Gold scheint damit im Verhältnis zu Öl deutlich unterbewertet. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die 1.000-Dollarmarke bei Gold im Verlauf des Sommers wieder getestet wird, ist damit sehr hoch.

As of today we will add Candente Resource Corp to our GOLDDRIVERS Model portfolio in section Juniors, high speculative. Candente clocked a high of $ 2.46 in November last year but tumbled down to a low of $1.32 on July 03 thereby sailing in its deepest over-sold territories of the last 12 months thereby providing the investor a unique opportunity to BUY or ADD to their existing postition.

Candente's current market cap just fell below the $100 million mark which translates itself into a valuation of the Canariaco project of just a mere cent (1+ cent) per pound proven copper resource. You don't have to be an Einstein in order to recognize Candente's up-side potential here since one cent per proven pound copper is really dirt cheap. The industry average for proven copper resources is about 4 cents/Lb. Earlier this year China Minmetals And Jiangxi Copper took out Northern Peru Copper for $455 million which translates itself for 5+ cents per pound copper in situ (Northern Peru's El Galena project hosts 8+ billion pounds of copper).

The simple thing is that world class scale and good copper grade projects with potential for precious metals by-products like the ones of Northern Peru and Candente are becoming scarce while demand for copper will be on the rise for years to come. It won't be long before Candente's potential will be on the radar screen of major copper players.

Besides coverage from Raymond James Candente received coverage recently from Blackmont Capital (rating: BUY - 12 months target $3.20) and Wellington (rating: BUY - target $3.00)

Wellington's analyst Steve Parsons noted that Candente's Canariaco deposit in Peru has "the hallmarks of a company-maker." It has a high-grade starter pit, is scalable, and "has a sufficiently large resource base to attract strategic partners as well as off-take groups." Additionally, "Candente is poised to come out of the gate as a mid-tier producer, which should garner market attention," he said.

He also noted that four of Candente's peers have been acquired recently, leaving a "scarcity of copper concentrate projects." The common denominator in these acquisitions is that the companies are all in Latin America, all have good shipping lanes to China and, most importantly, are all poised to be copper concentrate producers.

Parson's price target on Candente's stock is C$3.

Scorpio Mining Corporation (TSX:SPM) is pleased to announce additional underground drill results from the 6th, 8th and 9th Levels of the Santa Teresa Zone, which includes a wide 12.0-metre zone of mineralization, at the 100% owned Nuestra Senora project, Sinaloa State, Mexico.

Peter J. Hawley, Chairman, CEO reports, "The Santa Teresa zone is continuing to report grades and widths that not only are amenable to mining but are expected to increase the estimated mineral reserves and resources within the total mineral base. As such, the mine planning team has begun development on the 9th level of the Santa Teresa zone for extraction later this year. It is anticipated that the Company will use mechanized room-and-pillar mining methods accessed via internal ramps. The Santa Teresa is becoming one of our larger stoping areas, comparable with the Hoag Zone and the Main NW Zone, which will both be mined by long-hole methods. The Main NW and Hoag Zones are currently being drilled for blasting while the Santa Teresa is expected to be ready for extraction later in 2008 to ensure continued availability of ore for processing. Meanwhile, other narrower high-grade stopes are being prepared for selective mining, which will be integrated into the production schedule and enhance the daily throughput grade."

The reported underground drill holes were collared from approximately 90 to 160 metres below surface and were drilled as part of an ongoing program to define the extent and shape of the mineralization, upgrade reserve/resource categories and for mine planning. Listed below (Tables 1, 2, 3) are assay results received to date for the Santa Teresa Zone.

Noble Metal Group Inc.'s Noble Hydrocarbons Alta Ltd. (NHA), for each of its oil shale exploration permits located near Tisdale, Sask., has received, from the Saskatchewan government, confirmation and approval that the work commitment expenditures required for all five years of the permits have been fulfilled. Prior to receiving approval of expenditures, all oil shale cores are required to be stored at the Saskatchewan Industry and Resources subsurface geological laboratory, located in Regina. NHA completed this requirement in May, 2008, on delivery of all cores from its nine-hole drill program to that facility. NHA holds three oil shale exploration permits in the Tisdale area covering 28,447 hectares (70,294 acres).

Samples of the cores from the nine-hole drill program were sent for laboratory testing and analysis to Baseline Laboratories in Texas, under the supervision and chain of custody of Wayne F. Downey Jr., professional geologist for GRH (Global Resource Holdings LLC). Mr. Downey left GRH's employ in late 2007. He has been retained by NHA to prepare a report relating to the Baseline Laboratories results on the tests he commissioned. NHA is awaiting a final copy of his report.

NHA also holds, in the Hudson Bay area of Saskatchewan, a further oil shale exploration permit covering parts of five townships, comprising 37,980 hectares (93,851 acres). Investors may be aware of the significant coal deposit discovery made by Goldsource Mines Inc. approximately 50 kilometres (30 miles) northeast of the community of Hudson Bay, Sask. The northeast corner of NHA's oil shale exploration permit area abuts the southwest corner of the coal permits recently granted by the Saskatchewan government to Goldsource Mines Inc., including the discovery deposit. NHA's exploration rights are exclusive in its permit area, and extend from the surface to the top of the pre-Cambrian geological layer. Should coal be encountered by NHA during the course of its exploration of the permit area, it has confirmed with the Saskatchewan Industry and Resources that it has the option of converting part of its oil shale exploration permit area to a coal lease.
