QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 29, 2016) - Nemaska Lithium Inc. ("Nemaska Lithium" or the "Corporation") (TSX:NMX)(OTCQX:NMKEF) is pleased to announce that it has obtained issuance of its first United States patent (US 9,382,126) that describes its proprietary process of preparing lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate using membrane electrolysis. Nemaska Lithium first announced the notice of allowance for this US patent on June 1, 2016. Nemaska Lithium is also pleased to announce that it has obtained issuance of another Canadian patent, its second Canadian patent, CA 2,905,197. This patent specifically protects improvements of the electrolysis membrane process for preparing lithium hydroxide.
The electrolysis technology developed by Nemaska Lithium to convert lithium sulphate into lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate, has been successfully lab-scale tested, demonstrated in pilot plant testing as well as at supplier facilities over the past four years. This technology has given Nemaska Lithium a clear competitive cost advantage over its peers (per the 2016 Updated Feasibility Study press released on April 4, 2016). The commercial scale technology, protected under these patents, will be utilized in the Company's Phase 1 Plant which is currently under construction and is on track to be commissioned in January 2017, with ramp up to full production (500t/yr Lithium Carbonate equivalent (LCE)) in Q1 and Q2 2017. Nemaska Lithium intends to build its larger commercial lithium Hydromet plant with a nameplate production rate of 28,000t/yr LCE in 2017 and 2018.

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that Acumen Capital analyst Trevor Reynolds says the current price for shares of Freehold Royalties is a "reasonably strong" entry point for investors. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Reynolds began new coverage with a "buy" rating. He set a share price target of $16.15. Analysts on average target the shares at $15.56. Mr. Reynolds says in a note: "FRU is an O&G royalty company with an emphasis on the maximization of distributable income, while striving to achieve long-term growth per share. Alset Updates Progress on Re-Sizing Concessions and Drilling Permits
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 30, 2016) - Alset Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE:ION) ("Alset" or "the Company") is pleased to provide an update regarding ongoing work encompassing re-sizing the concessions as well as permitting efforts on the Company's Mexican Lithium Salar projects.
The largest concession, Sutti 19 located in the State of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is currently being split into 18 smaller concessions that will result in the reduction of annual work requirements required by the Mexican government but without any loss of ground. Concession Sutti 19 covers approximately 8776 hectares and will be split into 18 separate new contiguous concessions with a maximum of 500ha each. The total amount of hectares will remain unchanged however the expenditures required by the Mexican government will be drastically reduced (see Alset PR October 4, 2016). Surveying monuments were erected to facilitate this work and were completed by the Company's team of consultants in Mexico. The paperwork associated with this effort is currently being finalized and will be submitted to the requisite Mexican authority promptly. The Sutti 19 concession currently covers numerous salars including Caliguey and Santa Clara. Caliguey was a historical table salt operation that returned high lithium values from 1.2% to 2.1% lithium in 4 samples of fluid collected on the surface of the property by the Mexican government in 1992 (see Alset PR dated September 1, 2016).
In addition, the Company has moved ahead on the drill permitting and is on schedule for drilling in the first quarter of 2017. To date, the permit for drilling at La Salada, located in Zacatecas State, Mexico, has been submitted and the permit for Santa Clara and Caliguey will also be submitted within the next few weeks.

Concession Sutti 19 covers approximately 8776 hectares and will be split into 18 separate new contiguous concessions with a maximum of 500ha each. The total amount of hectares will remain unchanged however the expenditures required by the Mexican government will be drastically reduced (see Alset PR October 4, 2016). Surveying monuments were erected to facilitate this work and were completed by the Company's team of consultants in Mexico. The paperwork associated with this effort is currently being finalized and will be submitted to the requisite Mexican authority promptly. The Sutti 19 concession currently covers numerous salars including Caliguey and Santa Clara. Caliguey was a historical table salt operation that returned high lithium values from 1.2% to 2.1% lithium in 4 samples of fluid collected on the surface of the property by the Mexican government in 1992 (see Alset PR dated September 1, 2016).
In addition, the Company has moved ahead on the drill permitting and is on schedule for drilling in the first quarter of 2017. To date, the permit for drilling at La Salada, located in Zacatecas State, Mexico, has been submitted and the permit for Santa Clara and Caliguey will also be submitted within the next few weeks.
Allan Barry Laboucan, President and CEO of Alset Energy said: "One of our near-term project initiatives of re-sizing the concessions is well underway. With our largest concession completed, we can now continue with the reduction followed by splitting into smaller parcels of Sutti 22 as it remains advantageous and cost effective to do so. We are progressing expeditiously with our ongoing drill permitting and we are awaiting results from the laboratory for samples recently submitted that will provide us with insight into grade and recovery of lithium."

As at Nov. 25, 2016, the company had acquired title to or had the right to access approximately 84 per cent of the Yenipazar project area. In addition, the company has secured binding written commitments to purchase land from landowners representing an additional approximately 7 per cent of the project area. Following the purchase of the committed land, which remains subject to available financing, Aldridge will have ownership of or access to approximately 91 per cent of the total project area. This marks a significant increase since the end of the second quarter of 2016, when the company had title to or right to access approximately 49 per cent of the project area.
The state-led compulsory court process continues in parallel with the voluntary transactions. The company expects this process to be completed in 2017, subject to available funds.

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Nov. 30, edition that it has been a while since Jerome Hass, portfolio manager at Lightwater Partners, has had as much conviction in a short position as he has with Electrovaya ($2.20). The Globe's Larry MacDonald writes that Mr. Hass's main concern is that the market is overestimating the promise of the company's new technology: lithium-ion batteries for use in electric cars and wind/solar power generation. Mr. Hass also points to a recent development. "As a result of a disclosure review by the Ontario Securities Commission, the company issued a news release on Nov. 8 that 'clarified' many of its 2016 news releases and will require the company to restate some of its financial disclosures dating back to December, 2015," he notes. "We think there are plenty of other interesting stocks in Canada for investors to consider that are not subject to an OSC review," says Mr. Hass. Electrovaya shares have a 52-week range of 63 cents to $4.34.
