Forsys Announces Up to 92% Recoveries from Heap Leach Laboratory Tests and Commencement of Optimization Study

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Forsys Metals Corp. (TSX:FSY)(FRANKFURT:F2T)(NSX:FSY) ("Forsys" or the "Company") is pleased to announce positive uranium leaching results from laboratory tests to determine whether ore from its fully licensed Valencia Uranium Project could be economically recovered by heap leaching. The test program focused on the uranium recovery and reagent consumptions that are commercially achievable, and generating data to guide future development work by a heap leach process route.

Mintek of Johannesburg, South Africa, which was appointed as the laboratory facility to conduct the initial column leach test program, concluded that:

Ore from the Valencia Uranium Project is amenable to heap leaching.
Good uranium extractions can be achieved under trickle-bed conditions.
Sufficient uranium liberation is attainable from conventional crushing.
Up to 92% uranium dissolution was obtained in the column leach tests at a pH of about 0.7. Concurrently, 2 atmospheric batch leach tests were carried out to provide comparative leach results to the heap leach tests and determine any possible anomalies should they exist. The atmospheric batch leach test results supported the findings of the column leach results and no anomalies were found. Simulus, a leading Perth based engineering group, has been appointed to complete the recommended Phase 2 optimization study.

Marcel Hilmer, Chief Executive Officer of Forsys, commented, "Phase 1 results have confirmed our view of the benefits of heap leaching and that it appears viable as the primary mineral extraction method and may ultimately lead to reduced capital and operating expenditures and overall improved economics at our Namibian projects. We have commenced Phase 2 of laboratory testing and hope to provide further positive results before year end."

Taku Identifies Two Gold-In-Soil Zones at Bishop Property in Yukon

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Taku Gold Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TAK) is pleased to announce final results from a preliminary deep auger-type, soil geochemical survey completed over the 227-claim (4,699 hectare) Bishop property in late June 2011. The Bishop property is located approximately 45km south of Dawson City in the Klondike gold camp of Yukon. The goal of the survey was to identify areas prospective for detailed soil geochemical, prospecting and sampling work.

A total of 838 soil samples were collected along ridges and spurs at 50m intervals. Two clusters of anomalous gold, silver, arsenic and antimony were identified by the sampling. The first area is located in the north-central part of the property and shows gold-in-soil values up to 41.2 parts per billion gold (ppb Au) over a continuous distance of 800m. The second area is located 2km west and shows gold-in-soil anomalies up to 88.8ppb Au over a continuous distance of 600m. Both areas also show consistent moderate to strong silver, arsenic and antimony values. Detailed sampling is now underway over these areas with sample stations every 50m on lines spaced 100m apart in order to follow up the encouraging initial results. Distribution maps for gold, silver, arsenic and antimony will be posted on the Taku website shortly.

"The gold zones at Bishop are remarkably persistent over long distances and we are looking forward to the results from the detailed sampling to see just how extensive these zones are," comments Zak Dingsdale, President.

All soil samples were collected by Breakaway Exploration Management Inc. All analytical work was completed at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. ("Acme") in Vancouver, British Columbia. Acme is accredited under ISO 9001. Soil samples were prepared by drying and sieving 100g to -80 mesh, and then analyzed for 36 elements (including gold) by 15 gram Aqua Regia digestion, ICP-MS finish. Mark Fekete, P.Geo is the designated "qualified person" as defined in Section 1.2 in and for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 responsible for the technical content of this release.

Benton Provides Update on Drill Programs and Options Gold Project in Timmins Area

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Benton Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BTC) ("Benton" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has commenced diamond drilling on its 100% owned RIM copper nickel project located 100km south of the world class Voisey's Bay nickel deposit. The program will consist of 6-7 diamond drill holes totaling approximately 3000 metres testing a series of east-west trending conductive anomalies located within the mapped outline of the main Suture Zone. The Company believes that the conductors may represent magmatic sulphide along an east-west trending structural conduit cutting through the Suture Zone similar to the emplacement of the Voisey's Bay deposit. Results of the drilling will be released after they been completed and compiled by Company personnel.

In addition, Benton is planning a 6-8 diamond drill hole program on its 100% owned Abernethy gold project located 10km southwest of Kenora, Ontario. The property covers several well defined zones of electromagnetic conductors associated with gold in soil geochemistry. One of these historically well defined zones has a strike length of at least 640 metres long and up to 210 metres wide and was tested with 3 historical diamond drill holes returning grades up to 17.8 gpt gold over 1.52 metres and 6.30 gpt gold over 6.1 metres (see Benton's PR dated April 18, 2011). Recent forestry logging operations have opened entry to several areas within the claim group providing excellent access to the known mineralization.

The Company would also like to announce that it has acquired an option on 13 claims totaling 107 units located in Sewell Township in the west Timmins mining area. The Sewell property is an early stage gold project with several newly discovered gold occurrences which may host mineralization of economic potential. Under the option the Company can earn 100% by paying $200,000 cash and 200,000 shares over 4 years. The project is also subject to a 2% Net Smelter Return with the Company retaining the option to buy back 1%. This agreement is subject to TSX and regulatory approval.

Finally, Benton would also like to announce that after completion of its due diligence the Company has cancelled its right to option the Melba project (see Benton's PR dated May 2, 2011).

Advanced Explorations Inc. Commences Drill Program on C-Zone and Provides Update on Melville Peninsula Field Activities

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2011) - Advanced Explorations Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AXI)(FRANKFURT:AE6) (the "Company" or "AEI") is pleased to provide an update on recent field activities relating to its iron and other mineral prospects on the Melville Peninsula in Nunavut, Canada. As part of the feasibility study at its flagship Roche Bay Iron Project, the Company has commenced a resource expansion drill program on the project's C-Zone. Drill hole RBC-11-93 has been completed to its planned depth of 175 metres and the drill has now collared on its second hole. Additionally, geotechnical engineers from Wardrop Engineering Inc. and EBA Engineering Consultants Inc., two Tetra Tech Companies have just completed a site visit to the Roche Bay Project in order to evaluate potential sites for infrastructure and port development.

Advanced Explorations has further increased its efforts to secure lands relevant to mineral showings on the West Melville Peninsula and has completed additional staking and prospecting within an underexplored, three billion year old greenstone belt. The Company targeted prospective formations that it believed to be similar to the nearby Adamson River nickel showing as described by the Geological Survey of Canada (Open File 6729 with assayed grades up to 8% nickel).

John Gingerich, President and CEO, commented:

"To date, this has been an extremely successful and active exploration season for the Company. With the ongoing work on the feasibility study, high quality results from our Tuktu project and an increased interest in the mineral showings on the West Melville, we are very confident in creating further value in all of our assets".

As part of its on-going environmental program, the Company has also continued to undertake environmental surveys at both Tuktu and Roche Bay projects. Surveys include baseline water sampling, marine and terrestrial mammal surveys (including caribou), raptor and breeding bird surveys, as well as archaeological work. This program constitutes the sixth year of baseline environmental studies for the Roche Bay area, and the initial year of study at the Company's Tuktu Project.

AEI also remains committed to its Alaska Iron Sands Project option (press released May 26th, 2011). Work has been delayed to focus on the Roche Bay Feasibility Study and the increased West Melville activities. The Company anticipates initiating the work program in early Q4 of this year.

Steve Roebuck, P.Geo., the Vice President, Exploration for AEI is a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101 and has reviewed and verified the technical information contained in this news release.
