Tower Hill Mines Ltd. (TSX:ITH)(NYSE MKT:THM)(NYSE Amex:THM)(FRANKFURT:IW9)
("ITH" or the "Company") announces that it is has closed the second tranche of
its previously announced non-brokered private placement financing (the
"Offering") of common shares to raise total gross proceeds of CAD 29.6
million.
The second tranche of the Offering consisted of the issuance of 1,926,411
common shares at a price of CAD 2.5955 per share (representing a 10% discount
from the five day volume weighted average price for the common shares as at
September 10, 2012) to raise aggregate gross proceeds of CAD 5 million. The
Company paid a cash finder's fee of 4% in connection with the issuance of
these shares. The common shares issued in the second tranche of the Offering
will be subject to a hold period in Canada of four months from the closing of
the second tranche. All common shares issued in the second tranche will be
subject to resale restrictions under U.S. federal and state securities laws.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering for the completion
of its bankable Feasibility Study at the Livengood Gold project in Alaska and
for general working capital purposes.

C. Ewigleben as President and Chief Executive Officer effective September 19,
2012. Mr. Ewigleben has been serving as the Company's Chairman of the Board
since November 2011. He will be stepping into the role currently held by
Jeffrey Pontius, who was appointed Interim-CEO on June 29, 2012.
Mr. Ewigleben has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, having

(OTCBB: LBGO; "Liberty Gold" and/or "the Company") is pleased to report on International Tower Hill's (ITH) August 21, 2012 announcement of new, high-grade gold intercepts surrounding ITH's main deposit at its Livengood Gold Project in Alaska. ITH's Livengood Property immediately adjoins the western side of Liberty Gold's 4,620-acre McCord Creek Property. Outlook
The Feasibility Study [FS] for the Livengood project is currently underway and scheduled to be released in the first half of 2013. During the first quarter of 2012, the company selected Samuel Engineering, Inc. of Greenwood Village, Colorado, to provide process engineering services for its FS.
My analysis
The stock has met its bearish $2.5 price target from the Point and Figure chart. I believe the next major catalyst for the stock will be the Feasibility Study results due in the first half of 2013. I believe the stock could be a good pick in the anticipation of the results.

Mr. Lundin said buy three times between January, 2009, and April, 2010, at prices ranging from $1.46 to $5.85. He said take some profits -- perhaps sell half -- in September, 2010, at $6.65. International Tower Hill Mines (ITH) (TSE:ITH) (NYSE MKT:THM) Thursday reported its third quarter financial results and provided an update on its Livengood gold project in Alaska.
During the three and nine month periods ended September 30, the company said it advanced its Livengood project by focusing its efforts on an upcoming feasibility study – expected in the second quarter of 2013.
The company noted that its development team made “significant advancements” on project design, driven by an extensive metallurgical test program.
A large portion of the metallurgical testwork has been completed, with final results expected in the fourth quarter, ITH said, adding that the work will define the anticipated process flowsheet and recovery rates to be incorporated in the definitive feasibility study.
Additionally, the company closed a two-stage, non-brokered private placement financing for gross proceeds of approximately $29.6 million. The proceeds of the offering will be used to complete the feasibility study in the first half of 2013 as well as general corporate purposes, it said.
During the third quarter, on September 19, Donald C. Ewigleben was appointed president and CEO of the company.
ITH noted that Ewigleben has served as the chairman of the Board since November 2011 and was involved during the early stages of Livengood’s exploration and development in the 1990’s.
The company ended the period with $42.3 million of cash and cash equivalents, and said that it spent $36.3 million on exploration and evaluation assets and used $6.7 million for operating activities.
At the end of the third quarter, ITH had working capital of $34.8 million. The company expects to operate at a loss “for the foreseeable future”, but believes its current cash position will be sufficient for it to complete non-discretionary activities at Livengood, as well as general and administrative costs through the 2012 and 2013 fiscal years.
ITH anticipates continuing its investigations, studies and drilling programs and anticipates spending approximately $60 million for the 2012 fiscal year ending December 31, in order to advance the Livengood project.

Mr. Ewigleben has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, having held senior positions at large international producers and smaller public companies with exploration and development projects. His career has included roles overseeing mergers & acquisitions, legal, regulatory, environmental and government affairs, including multiple projects in Alaska. Most recently he was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Uranium Resources Inc. (URI), a publicly traded uranium producer. Prior to joining URI in September 2009, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of AngloGold Ashanti North America and held executive positions with AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. in North America and in Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to joining AngloGold in 2000, he was the Vice President, Environmental and Public Affairs, for Echo Bay Mines Ltd. and was responsible for the management and permitting of the AJ and Kensington projects in Alaska. Mr. Ewigleben began his career with AMAX Coal in Washington, DC and later as Vice President Environmental & Governmental Affairs for AMAX Gold was intimately involved with the permitting and development of the Fort Knox deposit 60 miles to the southeast of the Livengood deposit.

Kinross acquired a 100% interest in the Fort Knox open pit mine in Alaska in 1998. The mine is located within the Fairbanks mining district, a northeast trending belt of lode and placer gold deposits that comprise one of the largest gold producing areas in the state of Alaska. Access to the Fort Knox mine from the nearby city of Fairbanks is by 34 kilometres of paved highway followed by 8 kilometres of unpaved road. The area has a sub-Arctic climate with long cold winters and short summers.
The deposit at Fort Knox is mined by conventional open pit methods. Mining is carried out on a year-round basis, seven days a week and high-grade ore is processed at the carbon-in-pulp mill, which has a daily capacity of between 33,000 and 45,000 tonnes per day.
Fort Knox mines and stockpiles large volumes of low grade ore and mineralized waste material that cannot be economically processed at the existing mill. The new heap leach facility allows the mine to process some of these low-grade materials, as well as zones of lower-grade ore that have not yet been mined. Production from the heap leach began in late 2009.

INTERNATIONAL TOWER HILL MINES ANNOUNCES CORPORATE UPDATE AND 2012 YEAR END FINANCIAL RESULTS
International Tower Hill Mines Ltd. has filed the company's annual report on Form 10-K, including the audited financial statements, for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2012, which was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and certain securities commissions in Canada. Highlights provided in this news release should be read in conjunction with the Company's 10-K. All dollar amounts are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
ITH ended 2012 with a working capital of $27.7 million. The Company is focusing on completing all the engineering and analysis to support the completion of its Feasibility Study and the environmental work needed to maintain its current schedule.
ITH is also pleased to report that the Livengood Feasibility/Optimization Study is on schedule and on budget. To date, the following items have been completed and trade off studies are being conducted:
The mine design/production schedule alternatives have been completed, including equipment specifications and bids.
Metallurgical tests to optimize recovery have been completed.
The milling process design circuit has been completed and throughput optimization is currently being assessed. The mill will include an initial gravity circuit followed by standard carbon in leach recovery circuit (CIL) similar to the process used at the Fort Knox mine, 45 air miles to the southeast. Equipment bids have been received and are being reviewed.
Environmental baseline information collection has entered its fifth year, establishing critical benchmarks for mine permitting needs.
Don Ewigleben, President and CEO stated, "I am excited to be moving the Livengood project into this final phase of Feasibility and Optimization. This world class gold project continues to show significant potential for becoming one of the largest new gold mines in the world. The project is a very large gold resource in a favorable mining jurisdiction; the existing infrastructure and a high quality development team will continue to make ITH an attractive long-term investment."
