Precious metal has price support at about $27 per ounce – its low for 2011

Precious metals got clubbed last week. Platinum fell 7%. Gold dropped 10%. Copper got whacked for almost 17%. And silver lost a whopping 26%.

The bloodbath continued yesterday as silver dropped another $3 per ounce at one point. It closed the day at $29.98 per ounce – its lowest price since February.

And now, it's just about time to buy.

The last time we looked at silver was back in April, just before the metal peaked at nearly $50 per ounce. We were cautious back then. The silver trade was just too popular. Silver was trading 50% above its 200-day moving average (DMA) – an extreme condition that led to sharp corrections in 2006 and 2008.

We cautioned that anyone looking to buy silver in April would be better off waiting a few months. Today, silver is down 38% from its peak, and we're looking at nearly the exact opposite condition we saw in April.

Here's an updated chart...

Silver has gone from being 50% above its 200-DMA in April to 20% below the line today. It has gone from popular and overbought to shunned and oversold.

The conditions that had us cautious on the metal in April have reversed. So I'm enticed by silver today.

As you can tell from the chart, silver has price support at about $27 per ounce – its low for 2011. It has even stronger support just below that at $25. Either price would be a good level to start buying.

Of course, it's hard to buy any investment after watching it fall 26% in one week. But taking advantage of extreme conditions is how you make money in precious metals.

Investors were rushing in to buy silver in April when the metal was severely overbought. They were wrong back then. Today, those same investors are panicking and selling the metal into oversold conditions. Somehow, I suspect they'll be wrong again.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2011) - Starcore International Mines Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce results from drilling west and north of the 29 area mantos at its San Martin Mine in Queretaro, Mexico.

The Company has regained access to the manto area of area 29 and has commenced production on a part of the mantos west zone but continues to drill for additional extensions of the previously exploited orebodies. Results of an additional 5 holes along with check samples have been received. The mineralization in this area is generally horizontal. The hole intersections are extending blocks of probable reserves which were estimated in the previous reserve estimated (see News Release dated September 22, 2011). Dennoch rechnet Uwe Bergold von der GR Asset Management GmbH weiterhin damit, dass der Goldpreis Ende des Jahres oder Anfang 2012 bei 2.000 Dollar stehen wird. "Wenn wir es bis dahin nicht sehen sollten, werden wir es 2012 irgendwann sehen. Für mich ist die Marke 2.000 so sicher wie das Amen in der Kirche", so Uwe Bergold. Als Hauptgrund für den aktuellen Einbruch des Goldes sieht Uwe Bergold die jüngste Erhöhung der Margins, also die Erhöhung der Sicherheitsleistung für die Gold-Future-Kontrakte am Terminmarkt. Beim Gold wurde diese um über 20 Prozent erhöht. Dies führte zwangsweise zu Kontraktliquidationen. Das Szenario, dass der Terminmarkt den Goldpreis in den Keller schickt haben wir in den letzten 10 Jahren bereits einige Male beobachten können. "Der Preis liegt also unter dem fairen Marktniveau, was zu einem Mangel am Spotmarkt führte." Dieser Mangel lässt sich leicht auf den Internetseiten der Goldhändler erkennen. Semafo to list on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange Oct. 20

SEMAFO APPLIES FOR SECONDARY LISTING ON NASDAQ OMX

Semafo Inc. will apply for a dual listing of its common shares on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Exchange in Sweden. The listing is expected to be on or about Oct. 20, 2011, subject to regulatory approvals. Semafo's Stockholm listing prospectus has been approved by and registered with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. The prospectus is available in the investor relations section of the company's website.

No new shares will be issued as part of the secondary listing, but current shareholders will be able to convert their shares traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange to shares traded on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm.

The dual listing decision reflects Semafo's desire to facilitate the participation of European investors seeking exposure to Semafo and to the West African gold sector.

Golden Predator Intersects 52.95m of 2.26 g/t Gold at Bear Paw Zone, Clear Creek Project, Yukon

VANCOUVER, Sept. 28, 2011 /CNW/ - Golden Predator Corp. (TSX:GPD) (the "Company") is pleased to announce results for the first 11 diamond drill holes from its 2011 drilling campaign at its Clear Creek Project. All 11 holes encountered gold mineralization. Of particular interest are the following:

25.5 m of 2.19 g/t gold from a depth of 15.0 m from Hole CC11-043; and
46.5 m of 1.69 g/t gold from a depth of 19.5 m from Hole CC11-049; and
52.95 m of 2.26 g/t gold from a depth of 3.05 m from Hole CC11-051.

Clear Creek
The Clear Creek project is located 65 km northwest of Mayo, Yukon, comprises approximately 60 km2 and contains five identified target areas: the Bear Paw, Contact, Saddle, Josephine, and Juno Zones. The Contact Zone is 5.0 km northeast from the Bear Paw Zone (see map). The Clear Creek property is in an active placer mining area that has produced more than 129,000 oz Au (Allen et all, 1999).

The full 2011 diamond drill program consisted of 18 core holes; with 4 having been drilled at the Contact Zone and 14 at the Bear Paw Zone. The Company has also begun compiling and modeling the drill data from previous operators, the Company's 2010 drill program and the 2011 drill results at the Bear Paw Zone, all in anticipation of the preparation of an initial resource estimate on the Bear Paw Zone.

Sampling Methodology, Quality Control and Assurance
The diamond drill holes were drilled by skid mounted drills utilizing HQ3 core sizes (6.35 cm). Core was cut or split in half; one half was sent to the lab for analysis and the other was retained on site.

The core samples were sent to ALS Minerals' ISO 9001 certified preparation facility in Whitehorse, after which the pulps were analyzed at ALS's ISO 9001 certified laboratory in Vancouver. At ALS Minerals, values over 10 g/t gold were re-assayed by fire assay followed by a gravimetric finish (with a 50 ppb lower detection limit).

Other elements, including silver (Ag), were analyzed by a 35 elements package (ME-ICP41) whereby the sample is dissolved in an aqua regia acid solution and then analyzed by ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectrometry). Ag values over 100 g/t were re-assayed by method Ag-OG46, which involves digestion in hydrobromic, nitric, and hydrochloric acids followed by analysis by ICP-AES. Ag values over 1,500 g/t were re-assayed by method Ag-GRA21 which is a 30 g fire assay with gravimetric finish (5 g/t lower detection limit).

Drilling Sampling Protocol / Chain of Custody / Data Verification
Golden Predator employs high standards of protocol with respect to the handling and chain of custody of its samples. All sampling is conducted under the supervision of the Company's project geologist, and the chain of custody from the drill to the sample preparation and logging facility is continually monitored by the project geologist. Samples are shipped to the lab by qualified couriers or Company personnel under locked bags with independent identification lock numbers. Data verification of the analytical results includes a statistical analysis of the duplicates, standards and blanks that must pass certain set parameters for acceptance to insure accurate and verifiable results. All assays are reported as drilled intervals and are not to be interpreted as true widths.

The technical content of this news release has been reviewed and approved by Michael Maslowski, BSc, CPG, the Company's Vice President, Exploration (Canada) and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43‐101.

Nichtstun und in die Sonne legen am besten!

Gesamtmärkte und die Rohstoffmärkte sind derzeit derart volatil und von Extremen begleitet, dass ne eindeutige Kaufempfehlung unseriös wäre. In solchen Marktphasen können extreme Kursverwerfungen enstehen.

Fundamental und von der nüchternen Charttechnik betrachtet ist das Niveau nat. reizvoll. Eventuell ne Tradingposi (mögl. in 2 Tranchen) eingehen aber den Stop konsequent einhalten!

In dieser Phase Watchlist pflegen & geduldig auf Trendwende warten...Verpasse lieber die
ersten paar Prozente, aber wenn der Trend wieder stimmt, kann man gutes Geld verdienen.
Ich weiss nicht genau, wann die Insti`s fertig sind mit cash-machen

The diamond drill holes were drilled by skid mounted drills utilizing HQ3 core sizes (6.35 cm). Core was cut or split in half; one half was sent to the lab for analysis and the other was retained on site.

The core samples were sent to ALS Minerals' ISO 9001 certified preparation facility in Whitehorse, after which the pulps were analyzed at ALS's ISO 9001 certified laboratory in Vancouver. At ALS Minerals, values over 10 g/t gold were re-assayed by fire assay followed by a gravimetric finish (with a 50 ppb lower detection limit).

Other elements, including silver (Ag), were analyzed by a 35 elements package (ME-ICP41) whereby the sample is dissolved in an aqua regia acid solution and then analyzed by ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectrometry). Ag values over 100 g/t were re-assayed by method Ag-OG46, which involves digestion in hydrobromic, nitric, and hydrochloric acids followed by analysis by ICP-AES. Ag values over 1,500 g/t were re-assayed by method Ag-GRA21 which is a 30 g fire assay with gravimetric finish (5 g/t lower detection limit).

Drilling Sampling Protocol / Chain of Custody / Data Verification
Golden Predator employs high standards of protocol with respect to the handling and chain of custody of its samples. All sampling is conducted under the supervision of the Company's project geologist, and the chain of custody from the drill to the sample preparation and logging facility is continually monitored by the project geologist. Samples are shipped to the lab by qualified couriers or Company personnel under locked bags with independent identification lock numbers. Data verification of the analytical results includes a statistical analysis of the duplicates, standards and blanks that must pass certain set parameters for acceptance to insure accurate and verifiable results. All assays are reported as drilled intervals and are not to be interpreted as true widths.
