Eco Oro Minerals Reports Results of Infill and Step Out Drilling at Angostura <EOM.TO>

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Sep 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
Eco Oro Minerals Corp. (TSX:EOM) ("the Company" or "Eco Oro") is pleased
to report the results of infill and step out drilling carried out until
May 2011. This marks the cut-off date for the calculation of the new
mineral resource estimate that is the basis for the Preliminary Economic
Assessment (PEA) for an underground only operation at its multi-million
ounce Angostura gold deposit in northeastern Colombia.

-- Hole AL10-01 - 11.30 grams gold and 4 grams silver per tonne over 2
meters (21 - 23 m) and 12.95 grams gold and 4.9 grams silver per tonne
over 1.75 meters (122 - 123.75 m);
-- Hole DM10-02 - 18.45 grams gold and 87.3 grams silver per tonne over 1
meter (78 - 79 m);
-- Hole NA11-02 - 7.23 grams gold and 80.5 grams silver per tonne over 2.3
meters (126.7 - 129 m); and
-- Hole AL11-02 - 6.42 grams gold and 38.4 grams silver per tonne over 7.7
meters (163.3 - 171 m).

"The new Angostura mining project focuses on the higher-grade structures
that could be extracted by underground mining techniques," said Eco Oro's
Chief Operating Officer, David Heugh. "A total of 18 additional drill
holes comprising 5,523.05 meters are being reported, of which six have
been included in the new mineral resource estimate completed in June of
2011 and forming the basis for the PEA that is scheduled for completion
in Q 4 of this year. Sixteen of the eighteen holes reported contain a
total of 52 intercepts of greater than 2 grams gold per tonne and these
52 intercepts contained a weighted average grade of 4.39 grams gold and
19.73 grams silver per tonne."

The 2011 resource estimate will be based on drilling information that
includes the results of the program laid out in 2010 to complete the
testing of structures for the 2010 resource study. This data also
includes the drilling results reported previously from Cristo Rey, Los
Laches, Silencio and Veta de Barro. The Company's December 16, 2010 press
release provided an update report of the 3,524 meter drilling program
completed at Cristo Rey, while the press release of the April 1, 2011
reported on the drilling of Veta de Barro and Silencio areas. The
Angostura diamond drilling program is designed to convert inferred
mineral resource estimates into the indicated mineral resource estimate
category and to identify proximal structures for inclusion in the mineral
resource estimate.

Anna Stylianides, Eco Oro's Interim President & CEO, commented, "The
importance of this program is significant for the new underground mine
project as it helps detail the resource model which is in an ongoing
state of improvement as new drilling results become available. A 40,000
meter infill drilling program designed to evaluate the potential of high
grade structures that are targets for underground extraction was laid out
in early May. Drilling commenced in June, and will continue throughout
2011 and into mid-2012. The new drilling program is designed in stages
that reflect priorities in mining sequence as it is now known, with the
current focus on the central core of the deposit. As the mining design
becomes better known, there will be further adjustments to the drilling
program. The higher-grade Los Laches and Veta de Barro areas require
additional drilling and will be addressed in the future program."

Rare Earth Metals Releases New Resource Estimate for Clay-Howells
Inferred Mineral Resource: 8.5 Million Tonnes Averaging 0.73% TREO with 44.15% Fe2O3

http://www.marketwire.com/press-rel...e-for-clay-howells-tsx-venture-ra-1565771.htm

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Rare Earth Metals Inc. ("Rare Earth Metals", "RA" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RA)(OTCQX:RAREF)(PINK SHEETS:RAREF) is pleased to announce the first NI 43-101 compliant independent resource estimate for the Company's 100% owned Clay- Howells iron - rare earth element (Fe - REE) Property in northwestern Ontario. The resource estimate was prepared by Tetra Tech Wardrop (Tetra Tech) of Toronto, Ontario who recommends that additional drilling be conducted to further investigate and develop the known Clay-Howells deposit and determine continuity of the carbonatite, mineralized syenite, and massive magnetite lithologies and Fe and REE grades.

Highlights:

•8.5 million tonnes grading at 0.73% total rare earth oxide (TREO), 0.13% Niobium Oxide (Nb205) and 44.17% iron oxide (Fe2O3) at a 0.6% TREO cut-off grade in the inferred category
•40.4 million tonnes grading at 0.48% TREO and 34.62% Fe2O3 within a larger 0.2% TREO gradeshell
•Calculation is based on over 5436 m of drilling in 18 holes and 1825 assay samples covering 700 meters of strike length to an average depth 280 meters
•Resource areas open along multiple directions and to depth
•Additional sampling, drilling, and specific gravity readings recommended for next phase of drilling
The Clay-Howells deposit is 100% owned by Rare Earth Metals, who purchased the patented mining and surface rights from the original vendors in 2009, and is ideally located north of Kapuskasing, Ontario close to industrial infrastructure and a mining oriented workforce. Since acquisition, the Company has been evaluating the Clay-Howells Magnetite Deposit for its REE potential, and this resource report is an important milestone in establishing a substantial mineral resource which will form the basis to further advance the project. Jack Lifton, a well-respected expert on REE economics and an advisor to the Company, recently completed a field visit to the project and provided an assessment of the deposit potential regarding the synergies of producing a magnetite concentrate with a Rare Earth Element (REE) and Niobium (Nb) by-product. His evaluation stated that "The Clay-Howells' deposit represents an excellent opportunity to develop a "polymetallic boutique" operation in which one or more valuable products are able to subsidize the cost of others". Mr. Lifton's summary of the deposit is outlined in a previous press release dated July 19, 2011. Preliminary magnetic separation tests were carried out by Xstrata Process Support in September, 2010 after the initial drilling, and results from this work showed that there was a consistent upgrading of REE grade into the non-magnetic fraction. However, improvements in the recovery of the REE to the non-magnetic fraction require optimization and further test work. It should be noted that only limited mineralogy and metallurgical assessment has been carried out to date and detailed work would be needed to understand how well the various commodities could be separated.

"We are obviously very pleased with the results of this report which demonstrates the project's potential to host a much larger Iron - REE deposit", commented Mr. Michael Stares, President and CEO. "We believe we have only scratched the surface of this project and this resource calculation gives us the confidence to move forward. The property's great infrastructure such as its proximity to roads and hydro also add to its potential to be a contender as we can fast-track the project to production if further evaluation warrants".

Mineral resources were modeled by Tetra Tech and reported at eight different Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) cut-off grades, with a base-case resource estimated using a TREO cut-off of 0.6%. At this cut-off, Clay Howells hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 8.5 million tonnes grading 0.73% TREO, and 44.15% Fe2O3, with 10% of the TREO being the higher value HREO (heavy rare earth oxides).

Metanor Intersects 9.71 g/T Over 3.11m and 6.92 g/T Over 10.10m at Bachelor Lake

VAL-D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Metanor Resources Inc. ("Metanor") (TSX
VENTURE:MTO) is pleased to provide another update of its activities at the Bachelor Lake Project.

As of today, the 15,000 meter diamond drilling campaign announced on June 16th (ref. press
release) has completed 3,000 meters of drilling from surface in the Hewfran West sector. The
sector where the drilling is being performed is 850 meters west from the Bachelor Lake mine shaft.
Metanor obtained the following results from the first seven completed drill hole...

The drilling conducted in the Hewfran West Sector is focused mainly on the Hewfran West A gold
structure. This structure already contains resources (indicated and inferred; ref Technical Report
NI 43-101 Stantec, Feb. 2011) and is accessible from a drift on level 6 at Bachelor Lake Mine. The
drilling targeted a zone between 100 and 330 meters below surface and all drill holes to date have
intersected the Hewfran West A structure. The alteration type and the associated gold
mineralization were observed at different degrees in all the drill holes completed to date.

Metanor Resources is very encouraged by these first results, and is actively continuing its drilling
program from surface with the goal of increasing the resources in the Hewfran sector.
Moreover,
Metanor plans to begin, in October, the drilling of the Main and B veins from level 15 at the
Bachelor Lake Mine.

The true width is approximately 90% of the core length obtained in diamond drill holes. The
samples were assayed by fire-assay at the Metanor assay lab. The quality control program of the
assay results (QA QC) put in place by Metanor includes a minimum of 10% of controlled assays
being conducted as well as verification by an independent external assay lab..
