Foran completes summer work program at Bigstone

FORAN BIGSTONE DEPOSIT UPDATE

Foran Mining Corp. is providing an update on advancements at the company's 100-per-cent-owned Bigstone copper-zinc deposit, located 25 kilometres southwest of Foran's McIlvenna Bay deposit in the Hanson Lake camp of east-central Saskatchewan.

Foran has now completed a summer program, which included the relogging/verification of select historic drill holes, petrographic studies of sulphide mineralization by an independent consultant, sampling of 2015 drill core for metallurgical testwork and the collection of detailed specific gravity data through the mineralized intervals from the 2015 winter drill program, in anticipation of completing a mineral resource estimate. Further compilation and geological interpretation of historic data to identify additional targets for subsequent exploration programs throughout Foran's 11,126-hectare Bigstone property are in progress.

Foran has awarded the contract for metallurgical testwork to Base Met Labs of Kamloops, B.C. This work is well under way, and a report is expected to be received by the company in early fourth quarter 2015.

Pending positive metallurgical results, Foran intends to proceed with a mineral resource estimate for Bigstone.

Roger March, vice-president, project exploration, for Foran and a qualified person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical information in this release.

ANALYSE/Kobaltpreis könnte dank Glencore und VW nach oben schießen

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Von den jüngsten Turbulenzen um die Großkonzerne VW und
Glencore könnte das eher seltene Metall Kobalt profitieren. Sollte Glencore in
der Tat Minen schließen, um Kosten zu drücken, dürfte das globale
Kobalt-Angebot kräftig in den Keller gehen. Die Eidgenossen machen derzeit
Minen dicht, die für rund 5 Prozent der weltweiten Kobalt-Förderung stehen. Das
Metall wird vorzugsweise in Telefonen und Autobatterien eingesetzt.

Ganz klar: Die Kobaltpreise müssen erst noch zulegen. Die Lagerbestände sind
hoch, woraus die gestiegene Nachfrage nach Kobalt gedeckt werden könnte. Einige
Marktteilnehmer wetten jedoch darauf, dass das Abgasskandal bei VW zu einem
Schub für E-Autos führen wird. "Wir stehen Kobalt für das kommende Jahr sehr
positiv gegenüber", sagt Analystin Vivienne Lloyd von Macquarie.

Noch führt der kleine Kobalt-Markt jedoch ein Schattendasein gegenüber den
viel stärker nachgefragten Metallen Kupfer und Aluminium.

Das Metall wird aktuell zu 28.000 US-Dollar die Tonne gehandelt. In der Tat
entspricht das einem Abschlag von 40 Prozent im Vergleich zum Rekordhoch von
47.000 Dollar die Tonne im Jahr 2010. Wie andere Metall auch verbilligte sich
Kobalt, nachdem immer mehr Minen in Betrieb genommen wurden, um die
vordergründig kräftige Nachfrage zu bedienen, die im erhofften Umfang aber
niemals auftrat.

Die Kobalt-Kurse werden stark von der Politik des größten Exporteurs Kongo
beeinflusst. Immer wieder spricht die Regierung davon, die Ausfuhr von Erzen zu
verbieten. Kobalt leidet auch unter der Wirtschaftsschwäche in China.

Doch zuletzt mehrten sich die Hoffnungszeichen für das Metall. Glencore will
den Betrieb zweier Minen im Kongo und in Sambia aussetzen und damit ein
jährliches Angebot von rund 5.000 aus dem 100.000 Tonnen großen Markt nehmen.
Die Schweizer sind der wichtigste Spieler auf dem Kobaltmarkt und befördern
rund 20 Prozent des globalen Angebots ans Tageslicht.

Auch auf der Nachfrageseite gibt es aktuell mehr Licht als Schatten.
Analysten von Fitch meinen, dass der VW-Abgasskandal den internationalen
Automarkt durcheinanderwirbeln wird. "Der Skandal dürfte das latente Wachstum
von Fahrzeugen mit alternativem Antrieb, darunter Brennstoffzelle, E- und
Hybridmotor beschleunigen", schreiben die Fachleute in einer Studie.

Mit Palladium hat sich auch noch ein anderes Metall seit Bekanntwerden des
Abgasskandals kräftig verteuert. Investoren rechnen mit einer wachsenden
Nachfrage nach Benzinmotoren, die von den Problemen des Dieselantriebs
profitieren sollten. Das Metall wird sehr stark in den Katalysatoren von
Benzinern eingesetzt.

Insbesondere aber der potenzielle Schub für den E-Motor elektrisiert.
Wiederaufladbare Batterien sorgen für mehr als die Hälfte der Nutzung von
Kobalt. "Wenn der VW-Skandal in einem Wechsel von Diesel- hin zu E-Autos
resultieren wird, um die immer schärferen weltweiten Emissionsstandards
einzuhalten, dürfte die Nachfrage nach Kobalt bei Batterien ganz klar zulegen",
ist sich Troy Nazarewicz vom Minenkonzern Fortune Minerals sicher.

Die Nachfrageprognosen für Kobalt wurden bereits im Jahr 2014 heraufgesetzt.
Das war eine Folge der Entscheidung von E-Autobauer Tesla, eine Giga-Fabrik für
wiederaufladbare Batterien hochzuziehen. Das könne für eine zusätzliche
Nachfrage von 7.000 Tonnen im Jahr sorgen, mutmaßt Analystin Caroline Bain von
Capital Economics. Ihre Firma rechnet mit einem Preis für Kobalt von 34.000
Dollar die Tonne bis Ende 2016. Noch größere Kurssteigerungen seien bei weitem
nicht ausgeschlossen.

MK bei 8 Cent sind mal gerade Haelfte vom Cash Ende Q1 und MUN macht selber nix dieses Jahr.

Im Gegenteil, First Quantum hat im Juli ein 5.000m Bohrprogramm auf 4 der MUN Lizenzen begonnen, das bis 31.10. abgeschlossen sein soll. Anschliessend hat FQM bis 31.12. Zeit sich zu entscheiden, ob sie ein JV eingehen wollen. Ist also teils eine Drill- und auch eine Cashspekulation.

Ideal waer ja sowas wie bei Reservoir Minerals und Freeport nebenan...

ATAC RESOURCES LTD. IDENTIFIES 10 SQ/KM GOLD-IN-SOIL ANOMALY 5 KM SOUTHEAST OF ITS TIGER GOLD DEPOSIT -- RACKLA GOLD PROJECT, YUKON

Atac Resources Ltd. has released results from a regional-scale exploration program completed within the Rau trend at the western end of Atac's 100-per-cent-owned, 1,700-square-kilometre Rackla gold project in central Yukon.

Highlights

Soil sampling five kilometres southeast of the Tiger deposit returned elevated gold values up to one gram per tonne (g/t) gold (1,030 parts per billion (ppb) gold) at the new five km by two km Airstrip anomaly;
Prospecting resulted in a new oxide gold discovery called Serval located along the six km favourable structural corridor that hosts the Tiger deposit;
Follow-up sampling extended the Jaguar target 350 m to the west and identified a gossanous exposure with nearby grab samples grading up to 2.55 g/t gold.


Bengal extension and Airstrip anomaly

Atac recently completed a wide-spaced soil sampling grid extension southeast of the Bengal showing which is located 3.2 km south of the Tiger deposit. Results from this program outlined the Airstrip anomaly, a broad five km by two km gold-in-soil anomaly that remains open in all directions. Figures outlining the Rau trend gold-in-soil geochemistry and the new Airstrip anomaly are available on Atac's website.

The Bengal showing occurs within a broad intermittent gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly hosted in an underexplored package of variably calcareous siltstone sediments in a lower slope to basinal stratigraphic setting. Two thousand twelve channel sampling of an exposure of highly friable interbedded limestone and pyritic siltstone yielded numerous elevated gold results including 3.19 g/t gold over one m (see Atac news release dated Jan. 23, 2013). The Bengal showing remains undrilled.

The 2015 soil sampling program was designed to extend sample coverage southeast of the Bengal showing along a moderately sloping vegetated hillside. Samples from this program returned gold results from below detection up to 1.03 g/t gold (1,030 ppb gold). Approximately 20 per cent of all samples collected in the anomalous area returned values greater than 30 ppb gold. This work has outlined the robust 10-square-kilometre Airstrip anomaly and highlighted the potential within the Rau trend for new sediment-hosted gold discoveries.

Eleven targets, based on clusters of strongly anomalous gold-in-soil values, have been identified within the 10-square-kilometre Airstrip anomaly for priority follow-up in 2016. This work will include targeted geologic mapping, test pitting, trenching, soil grid extension and prospecting, followed by rotary air blast drilling and diamond drilling, where warranted. Atac will also undertake work to connect all-terrain trail systems within the Tiger deposit and the Rau Airstrip to improve logistics within the Rau trend in an effort to decrease the dependency on helicopter-supported exploration.

"The size and magnitude of the Airstrip geochemical anomaly suggest that a very large gold mineralizing system occurs within a rock package previously thought to have limited potential of hosting significant gold mineralization," stated Julia Lane, vice-president, exploration, for Atac Resources. "We are encouraged by the success of our exploration program at the Rau trend this summer and look forward to continuing to explore for further sediment-hosted gold targets within this area."

Serval target

The Serval oxide gold target is located on a ridge top 5.8 km along trend of the Tiger deposit. Samples of variably silicified limonitic oxide float occur in association with an area of intense calcite flooding proximal to a fault that prominently offsets stratigraphy. Gold values from hand samples collected in proximity to this fault in 2015 returned a range of values from below detection up to 1.44 g/t gold.

Jaguar target extension

The Jaguar target occurs 2.5 km northwest of the Tiger deposit. Oxide mineralization was originally discovered along trend of the Tiger deposit at the Jaguar target in 2009. Gold mineralization at Jaguar typically occurs within dense geothite-rich limonite float samples scattering the hillside over a 200 m by 300 m area. Prospecting 350 m west of this area in 2015 revealed a northwest-trending linear located directly beneath a gossanous exposure. Float samples of oxidized limestone collected in this area in 2015 returned gold values between 0.01 and 2.55 g/t gold.

Rau trend overview

The Rau trend lies at the western end of the 185 km long Rackla gold project and hosts the Tiger oxide gold deposit as well as the Ocelot silver-lead-zinc discovery. Limited work conducted along trend of the Tiger deposit since 2008 has led to the discovery of nine new sediment-hosted gold targets (Bengal, Caracal, Cheetah, Condor, Cougar, Jaguar, Panther, Puma and Serval), five gold-plus/minus-copper-plus/minus-tungsten skarn targets (Bobcat, Kathy, Hogsback, Ridgecrest and Flat Top) in addition to numerous other untested gold, gold pathfinder and silver-lead-zinc anomalies.

Mineralization at the Rau trend occurs within a highly prospective geological setting, situated between the regional-scale Dawson and Kathleen Lakes fault zones. Mineralization styles within the Rau trend are diverse and likely directly related to a broad hydrothermal mineralizing system centred around the 63-million-year-old felsic Rackla pluton, located three km southeast of the Tiger deposit.

The 2015 regional exploration program was conducted concurrently with this year's Tiger deposit geotechnical and resource optimization program, as recommended in the 2014 preliminary economic assessment which was filed on SEDAR. The results of the 2015 fieldwork and continuing Tiger deposit desktop optimization studies will be released once received and compiled.

QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control)

Analytical work was completed by ALS Minerals, with sample preparation in Whitehorse, Yukon, and assays and geochemical analyses in North Vancouver, B.C. All rock samples were analyzed for gold by fire assay fusion and atomic absorption spectroscopy finish (Au-AA26) and 48 other elements was by four-acid digestion and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (ME-MS61). All soil samples were analyzed for gold by fire assay fusion and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry finish (Au-ICP21) and 51 other elements by aqua regia digestion and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry and mass spectrometry finish (ME-MS41).

The technical information in this news release has been approved by Julia Lane, PGeo, vice-president, exploration, for Atac and a qualified person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101.

ANTHEM UNITED INC. ANNOUNCES FIRST GOLD AND SILVER PRODUCTION FROM THE KORICANCHA MILL, PROVIDES COMMISSIONING UPDATE

Anthem United Inc. has commenced production of gold and silver dore from its gold milling operation in Peru (the Koricancha mill), and is providing an update on commissioning activities at the Koricancha mill.

First gold and silver production

In connection with initial commissioning, harvest of loaded carbon from the Koricancha mill during August and September has produced approximately 2,665 ounces of gold and 2,556 ounces of silver in dore. Further, the Koricancha mill has now also completed first exportation and sale of refined gold and silver.

Greg Smith, president and chief executive officer, commented: "First production of gold and silver is always a significant event in the commissioning of a new plant, and I would like to take this opportunity to commend and thank the Koricancha, EMC Green Group and Anthem teams for their efforts in realizing this accomplishment. I'd further like to thank our local stakeholders and shareholders for their significant support to date."

Gold and silver production and sales are expected to increase, as deliveries and stockpiles of mineralized mill feed continue to escalate, and additional available processing capacity is brought on-line.

Koricancha mill commissioning

Construction of the Koricancha mill is substantially complete with all critical infrastructure and equipment in place with the exception of the on-site chemical lab. Construction of the chemical lab is currently in progress and is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter. To date, the Koricancha mill has been using local third party laboratories for chemical analysis.

Commissioning activities at the Koricancha mill commenced in late June and continued through September. The crushing circuit, the milling circuit, the recovery circuit, the tailings facility and support infrastructure are now fully commissioned.

Deliveries of mineralized mill feed have been accelerating with approximately 6,700 tonnes received during commissioning to Sept. 30. As deliveries and stockpiles of mineralized feed continue to increase over the next several months, available capacity will be brought on-line as needed, up to the 350-tonne-per-day total plant capacity.

As the company has now demonstrated the operating capability of the plant after several months of commissioning, it will commence accounting for operations at the Koricancha mill on a commercial production basis as of Oct. 1.

As a company committed to responsible production of precious metals, Anthem is pleased to announce that it has been accepted as a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). RJC is a not-for-profit, standard-setting and certification organization with over 600 member companies spanning the jewellery supply chain from mine to retail.

COLORADO ANNOUNCES NEW TAMI ZONE PORPHYRY DISCOVERY AT KSP

Colorado Resources Ltd. has released the results from the Tami zone as part of its 2015 summer exploration program on the KSP property located 12 kilometres southwest of Alta Gas's road-accessible McClymont Creek hydroelectric project. Colorado acquired the Tami zone claims from Teck Resources in a transaction announced in a Jan. 19, 2015, news release. The claims form part of the KSP property under option with SnipGold Corp.

Adam Travis, president and chief executive officer of Colorado, states: "The recognition by Colorado of the Tami zone as a significant copper-gold porphyry target associated with the newly recognized Sky fault thrust system and the three km by eight km Sericite Ridge alteration system supports our postulation that the KSP property may potentially host several large-scale porphyry targets in a geological setting similar to the KSM camp (i) located 30 km to the southeast. Tami is a compelling copper-gold porphyry target that warrants a large-scale drill program."

The 2015 field program at Tami consisted of the collection of 109 rock chip, channel and grab samples, detailed geological mapping, and prospecting; 12.5 km of ground magnetometer surveying and compilation of historical data. This work indicates the following:

Channel and chip samples

Colorado's rock saw channel and chip samples have returned anomalous values over 700 metres of strike from the main Tami showing, further highlighting the exploration potential.

Historical drilling

Although historical drillholes completed in 1987 did not test the main showing, results included SR87-07 which returned 208.2 m of 0.323 g/t gold from 1.8 m to 210 m including 21.9 m of 1.99 g/t gold from 1.8 m to 23.7 m indicating potential for bulk tonnage gold.

Soil and rock sampling

Historical soil geochemical samples taken from 1982 to 1987 and recently incorporated into Colorado's digital database indicate an easterly trending 250 m by 800 m long greater than 350 parts per billion gold in soil anomaly with the Tami zone located at the far western end. Historical rock sampling has also returned values up to 10.98 g/t gold suggesting the potential for higher gold grades to occur within the overall copper-gold porphyry setting.

Geology

Geological mapping indicates that the Tami zone occurs in the central portion of the 3 km by 8 km Sericite Ridge alteration zone where a series of east-west trending monzonitic intrusive dykes are associated with the gold in soil anomaly. At the Tami zone, the monzonite dykes are noted with quartz and magnetite stockwork and sheeted veins in typical porphyry fashion.

Ground magnetics survey

Magnetically high zones correlate with the soil and rock geochemical anomalies and also occur along strike in areas of cover and attest to further exploration potential not only along strike but at depth. A 3-D inversion of the airborne magnetic data shows that the surface magnetic zones appear to coalesce at depth and may form part of a larger mineralized and altered system.

The rock samples reported by Colorado in 2015 were analyzed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. of Kamloops, B.C., for 68 elements using an aqua regia digest with an ICP-MS finish (code UT-1) and for gold by fire assay fusion with an AA finish (code 1A2).
