1. Gold und Silber lieb ich sehr,
kann's auch wohl gebrauchen,
hätt ich doch ein ganzes Meer,
mich darein zu tauchen.
Braucht ja nicht geprägt zu sein,
hab's auch so ganz gerne,
sei's des Mondes Silberschein,
sei's das Gold der Sterne.

2. Doch viel schöner ist das Gold,
das vom Lockenköpfchen,
meines Liebchens niederrollt
in zwei blonden Zöpfchen.
Darum komm, mein liebes Kind,
laß uns herzen, küssen,
eh die Locken silbern sind
und wir scheiden müssen.

3. Seht, wie blinkt der goldne Wein
hier in meinem Becher;
horcht, wie klingt so silberrein
froher Sang der Zecher !
Daß die Zeit einst golden war,
wer wollt das bestreiten,
denkt man doch im Silberhaar
gern vergangener Zeiten.

ein paar Area Plays um Goldsource!

Been in the bush the last little while, a man still has to work, but I have been paying close attention and, well, it sure has been a crazy. I knew this discovery was for real, but I never anticipated anything like this. I don’t anyone really did. I’ll go into this in more detail later, but this coal discovery in Saskatchewan could be as big, or bigger, than the diamond discovery in Northwest Territories.

As far as the companies involved, the market, like nature, is efficient at thinning out the herd and leaving only the ones that deserve to survive.

Everyone and anyone has staked in the province. Let me tell you, it’s almost goofy. Well over a million hectares (2.47 million acres) has been snapped up by various companies. When you look at a staking map its hard not to mistake it for the maps of the NWT (Northwest Territories) after the diamond discovery. They are staking EVERYTHING from the Manitoba border all the way to Prince Albert. I’ve got a feeling it’ll continue.

Coalpoke Hudson Bay Discovery Round-Up, In Order of Value

GXS

$13.00...do you really need to say anything more? But it could still go higher, a lot higher, here’s why.

The release they put out today should be read once, then again more slowly, then a third time to take notes. Here are the things that should slap you square in the face. First and foremost, these are conceptual estimates. Nothing is certain, know that from the beginning, but they drilling in a 17 x 9 km area with follow up drilling, extrapolation distance from these holes is as far as 3.6 km, and they are are calculating a resource estimate of 2.0 to 4.0 billion tonnes of coal (conceptual). To put it in perspective, if there is 4.0 billion tonnes of coal in the ground this thing is world over 500 billion dollars. This is why it is as big, or bigger, than the diamonds in NWT. And with only 17 million shares out (I think 18.5 million after their financing) even after a stock split this thing could go to a much higher price than it already has. Do the math, what is a $500 billion asset worth divided by 18 million shares? A lot more than just $13 dollars a share. This thing is scary and not just great for the market players, great for Canada.

I’ve never changed my tune on this one, you don’t get winners like this one very often.

SMI

Saturn Minerals is my new number 2. I’m still a fan of WGF, but SMI, I feel, just has a few more things going for it than WGF does. First off, the company has produced an update for its shareholders that is exceptional, it outlines what they have done and gives some fact about the coal industry. Any company that takes the time to send its shareholders something like that has to be professional. They finally put out a map on their website which give an approximate idea of where they have been staking and, as they stated, they are adjacent and surrounding Goldsource. But I still think they have the 3rd best land position after WGF, why they are my number 2 is because of share structure and the behaviour of their management. First off, Saturn has the smallest dilution (after SWR) of all the coal area players with only 34 million shares out. More value for each share you buy. Second, I just really like the way this company carries itself. They aren’t so showy but don’t lack exposure either, management keeps very quiet until they are sure of what they have to say and treat every phone call well. They are the first ones to update a coal page on their website laying out exactly what they have done and what they are waiting for. This is a company, I feel, that will behave the same why in exploration (ie. Actually doing the job right). So, SMI is my new number two, and I have added to my position in the company accordingly.

WGF

WGF has the best land position. Don’t make that mistake. And even though they are my number 3, it’s still a close race between them and SMI for that spot. It’s just the share structure here that bothers me. They are almost at 70 million fully diluted, and if they raise a bunch more cash, that number will be close to 80 million. That’s getting too close to rollback territory (where I have been before more than once, and trust me, it isn’t fun). Second, they seem a little too promotional for my tastes. But I’m an old gaffer who doesn’t like any sales pitch so maybe I’m just sour. All that being said, WGF has one hell of a land position to the discovery. Their management seems competent and they are already in Saskatchewan which counts for something. Truth be known, if this basin grows to what some old timers are predicting it to be, GXS, SMI, and WGF will all probably have some coal on their ground. This thing is that big.

SWR

I know, it’s pretty much the same company as SMI, but I think what makes this thing so great is also whats making it so disappointing. There are no shares for sale, only 4 million or so in their float. This is great if you have it a good price, but it only takes a few sellers and this thing can move quickly downwards. I’m being picky I know, SWR has winner written all over it because of its structure, but I think when some of that escrow stock comes free we’ll see more liquidity in the stock and a steadier price chart. The one thing that SWR does have is a certain member of their board who runs a private drill company in the Yukon with over 50 drill rigs. I don’t think SWR, or SMI, will have trouble finding a drill for Saskatchewan.

BTT

BitterRoot is a good company. They have good ground in Manitoba, a good exploration staff, a good ability to run programs, and a legitimate shot at another discovery in the area. They just don’t have the message in the market. This is a good and bad thing. Good because they have the potential to be a GXS and hit everybody blindside with a discovery hole, bad because its painful for longtime shareholders who are already long. This is still a winner, but the question is when. It’s just too bad the word Saskatchewan gets more air than Manitoba, it really only is about 10 km away, but that’s market perception for you.

NAG

Well, what can I say. Halting the stock for comfort letters was, I felt, the last straw. I know, I know, this Adamas joint venture thing they have going is great and all, but I get the feeling again and again that this management is only concerned about saying coal, never actually touching it. I’m not selling, they’re still a lot better than the other weasels that have popped up in the area that I won’t even include in my round-up, but they are definitely giving me the impression that they are more interested in promoting and less in exploring. I’m thinking the best thing for NAG to do is option off that million acres have staked and let other companies do the work for them

Summary

This coal discovery is for real and bigger than anyone expected. If GXS runs to the moon, each one int he area is going to be a star. 4.0 billion tonnes.

GXS – No explanation really needed at this point. Follow-up drilling will determine if this thing will let the longtime shareholders retire this year or not. One hell of a story for the grand kids. A winner in a league of its own.

SMI – My new number 2 based on share structure, land position, and management style. They have a good land position and a smaller float. A great shareholder update that made me into a bigger fan, and they have moved up.

WGF – Still the best land position, but just so many shares out gave them a little drag and let SMI BARELY nudge past them on my list. Still a good winner. To be honest, WGF and SMI are like two children, I can’t always pick which one I like best.

SWR – Great company, amazing share structure, nice board member with lots of drills, just not enough stock for liquidity. This is still could, I think, be the biggest winner when all is said and done because of that share structure, but at the time being my number 3.

BTT – Buy, hold, and forget about it. That’s all I can do when geologists are promoting their company. They have a great strategy in Manitoba and, even if the market won’t recognize that geology doesn’t stop at the border, science and share price will if they’re good move pays off and they find coal there too.

NAG – Joint Ventures and lots of noise, this company is good for that. Management quality and mine construction? I don’t care how many people you have on an advisory board, halting a stock for comfort letter news when four companies have already released them reeked of over-promotion to me. We’re not all lemming, just because you halt the stock doesn’t mean I’m chasing it.

As always, these are just my opinions, do do your own due diligence. Good Luck!

ich kann es nicht fassen...

SMI hatte ich zu 0,3 und hab sie zu 0,35 wieder gegeben...

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 06/19/08

CLOUDBREAK RESOURCES LTD. (TSX VENTURE: CDB)(PINK SHEETS: CUDBF)(FRANKFURT: C6K). President Blair Naughty is pleased to report Cloudbreak Resources Ltd. has applied for a 100% interest in a further 198 Coal Dispositions located on the east side of the Pasquia Hills of East-Central Saskatchewan. This acquisition is in addition to the 48 Dispositions already pending in the system. These Coal Dispositions are in close proximity to the recently announced coal discovery by Goldsource Mines Inc., approximately 50 Kilometers north of Hudson Bay, Sask.

On May 5, 2008 Goldsource announced the results from 47 coal samples submitted from the Saskatchewan coal intercepts on two core holes representing 26 meters and 32.5 meters respectively of coal seam, including 22.6 meters of continuous coal in each hole. The coal was reportedly intercepted starting 80 meters below the surface.

Historical data and reports suggest that coal is present to the north edge of the Cretaceous rock sequence, along the shores of Wapawekka Lake to the north of the Adamas discovery. These reports further suggest that the Wapawekka outcrop is likely associated with a larger deposit to the south. The Adamas intercept is reported to be sub bituminous A quality, and is directly south of Wapawekka Lake, along the low-lying basin adjacent to the southeast of the Narrow Hills uplands.

The discovery by Goldsource of coal in two drill holes 1,600 metres apart, and the Adamas discovery, suggest the potential for a much larger coal system. The coal in the discovery areas is reported to be bituminous to sub-bituminous and was encountered in the Mannville/Swan River group of Upper Cretaceous age. Coal structures of the Upper Cretaceous age are reported to be generally very large and can encompass several thousand square kilometers.

Company geologist and board members Marvin Mitchell, P.Eng. CFO Richard Macey and President Blair Naughty flew to Regina, Saskatchewan on June 12, 2008 to meet with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources about pending claims, and to do detailed research on the areas surrounding the recent discovery by Goldsource.

President Blair Naughty stated, "The staff at the Ministry were extremely helpful and accommodating. Several of the in-house geologists, as well as the Executive Director of Industry and Resources took the time and effort to provide us with thoughts on the discovery and provided maps of the area for us. With the knowledge we gained from that first day we immediately applied for 48 more Dispositions (91,102 acres) in the area.

In the town of Hudson Bay we met Neil Salmond, who was born in the area and has been involved in the logging and farming industries. His extensive knowledge of the logging roads, forestry contacts and surrounding areas proved invaluable. We examined maps of unclaimed townships from the Ministry and matched logging roads and highway maps of over 1,400 kilometers to see first hand the areas we staked, as well as areas we planned to stake. The first two township claims Cloudbreak submitted have full road access. The later two townships are accessible by helicopter.

In Melfort we plotted out a large section of unclaimed townships that are believed to be part of the coal trend. Apparently there were several claim blocks that were unstaked, according to the most recent map from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources. These township claims were not only accessible by road, but are completely clear cut logged and are easily accessible for a drill rig in warmer months. The roads in this area are year round roads. With this exciting information we returned to the Regina Mining office and applied for an additional 150 coal Dispositions, (approximately 284,662 acres)."

This now brings Cloudbreak's applications for land permitting in the area from 4 townships (approximately 91,062 acres) to 20.5 townships (approximately 466,846 acres). Applications were made in accordance with the Coal Disposition Act of Saskatchewan and granting of permits is dependent upon regulatory requirements to process the applications.

The company to date has not received any indication whether these permits will be accepted. The Ministry office in Saskatchewan is overwhelmed with claim submissions and is working extremely hard to grant them on a timely basis. To the company's knowledge the updated claim maps as of June 16, 2008 indicated that the claims Cloudbreak submitted were still open and the amount of backlogged claims to be processed matched almost exactly to the last batch of claims submitted by the company late on June 16, 2008.

The updated map sent out June 17th reflected all of the claims that were submitted the day before by the company. Information regarding the acceptance or denial of these claims will be announced as they are received back from the Ministry.

President Naughty, "On behalf of the board we would like to thank the staff at the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources for their time and hospitality. We would also like to thank the friendly people of Hudson Bay and Melfort, in particular, our new Cloudbreak consultant Neil Salmond for his help and direction. We now have a better understanding of the area, the surroundings, and geological theories of the discovery. We also have access to a work force including road cutters, drillers and laborers with equipment, drills, trucks and ATV's. We believe this area will be of great interest to the mining community for some time to come, and are pleased to have submitted such a large number of township claims with the aim of becoming a major player in this new and exciting discovery area."
