The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that Acumen Capital analyst Trevor Reynolds says the current price for shares of Freehold Royalties is a "reasonably strong" entry point for investors. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Reynolds began new coverage with a "buy" rating. He set a share price target of $16.15. Analysts on average target the shares at $15.56. Mr. Reynolds says in a note: "FRU is an O&G royalty company with an emphasis on the maximization of distributable income, while striving to achieve long-term growth per share. The royalty model provides strong margins based on modest capital requirements, and returns which are not burdened by operating costs and crown royalties. FRU maintains a conservative balance sheet with a focus on an effective, strong audit process. Growth is driven by acquisitions, free drilling, and the creation of royalties and lease outs. FRU has a strong track record of growing production and royalty exposure through acquisitions, a trend that has continued in the current market environment. Over $30 per share has been paid out since the IPO, while the management team has been proactive in adjusting payout levels to remain 100-per-cent sustainable."

HIGHLIGHTS

Revenue of $200 to $220 million is budgeted excluding the sale of the Lesedi La Rona diamond.
Karowe operating cash costs are expected to be between $36.0 - $40.0 per tonne processed following a planned increase in waste mining as the Company advances toward early completion of a major push back by the end of 2018. This will create further optionality for accessing high value south lobe ore. Operating cash costs, excluding waste mining is expected to be $19 - $20 per tonne processed in 2017.
The exploration program continues to advance in 2017 with focus on a second 5000 tonne bulk sample at BK02, drilling at AK13 as well as micro diamond analysis at AK11.
Deep drilling is forecast to be complete in early 2017, which is expected to result in an updated resource statement.
The Company anticipates it will declare an annual dividend in 2017 of Canadian $0.10 per share to be paid in four equal payments at the end of each financial quarter.

Wie die Financial Times unter Berufung auf Händler und Banker berichtet, hat China zuletzt die Goldimporte des Landes begrenzt. Diese Maßnahme erfolge im Rahmen der Bemühungen der Regierung, den Kapitalabfluss zu reduzieren.

China versuche aktuell dem Wertverlust des Renminbi Einhalt zu gebieten und beschränke daher die Dollarabflüsse. Aus eben diesem Grund meldeten einige Banken zuletzt Schwierigkeiten beim Erhalt von Genehmigungen für die Einfuhr von Gold. Die Währung des Landes war gegenüber dem Dollar kürzlich auf ein 8-Jahres-Tief gefallen, in diesem Jahr beläuft sich das Minus bislang auf 5,8%.

Die Kombination aus einem stärkeren Kaufinteresse und strengeren Einfuhrbeschränkungen hätten die Aufgelder für Gold in China verglichen mit dem internationalen Preis in den vergangenen Wochen zwischenzeitlich auf bis zu 46 $ steigen lassen. Üblich seien 2 bis 4 $.

mmmh, theoretisch scheint es eine große Bereinigung gegeben zu haben und nun auf Neuanfang....allerdings hat die PZE nur bedingt mit Petrobras was zu tun?
