Egypt Cotton Imports Seen 23.8% Lower in 2022-23

Special to Dow Jones Newswires The U.S. Agriculture department late on Wednesday reduced Egypt's cotton imports by 23.8% due to lower domestic use. The department now expects imports during the marketing year beginning August 2022 through September 2023 to fall to 400,000 480-pound bales compared with its previous forecast of 525,000 bales in January, it said in its February World Markets and Trade report. In 2021-22, Egypt imported 350,000 bales of cotton, it said. Egypt's cotton production in the current year is estimated at 420,000 bales, up 50% from 280,000 bales a year earlier, it said. In recent years, the Egyptian government has taken control of cottonseed supplies to enhance the Egyptian cotton brand, after the quality had declined due to farmers reusing seeds, the USDA said in its recent Egypt: Cotton and Products Annual report. The Egyptian government plans to set up the world's largest spinning and weaving factory in Mahalla al-Kubra, at a cost of about 900 million Egyptian pounds ($29.8 million), according to the U.S. report.

1544 GMT - Outflows of gold from exchange-traded funds continued in January, despite prices moving higher during the month. Data from the World Gold Council showed that physically backed gold ETFs saw net outflows of $1.6 billion in January, and a 26 metric ton decline in total holdings to 3,446 tons. The outflows largely came from Europe and Asia, while North America saw ETFs move back toward the yellow metal, after gold saw its strongest January price performance in a decade, the WGC said. North American funds likely benefited from gold's strong price performance as the dollar weakened and interest rates stabilized, leading to $572 million in net inflows, or 9 tons, according to the WGC. Gold prices in January rose 5.4%, with prices today at $1,892.50 a troy ounce.

Nighthawk Gold Corp. has provided an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) on the Colomac gold project, located 200 kilometres (km) north of Yellowknife, NWT, Canada. The 2023 MRE demonstrates a significant expansion of the open-pit ("OP") mineralization compared to the estimates reported in 20222 ("2022 Estimate") and the potential for a future large-scale, OP project within the Company's District-Scale exploration land package.
Highlights:
36% Increase in the total OP Indicated Mineral Resource estimate ounces and a +5% increase in grade compared to the 2022 Estimate2 (See Table 2);
34% Increase in the total OP Inferred Mineral Resource estimate ounces and a 3% decrease in grade compared to the 2022 Estimate2 (See Table 2);
26% Increase in the Global Indicated Mineral Resource estimate ounces and a +4% in grade compared to the 2022 Estimate2 (See Table 2);

UBS agrees, noting that a lack of buyers and tankers to move its refined products could be causing Russia problems. "We believe the decision is not completely a voluntary one--despite the [Russian] official claiming otherwise--as market factors likely forced the Russian side to make this decision," the bank says in a note.

NEVADA COPPER PROVIDES UPDATE ON PRODUCTION RESTART AT PUMPKIN HOLLOW AND IDENTIFICATION OF ADDITIONAL COPPER TARGETS
Nevada Copper Corp. has provided an update on restart and operational activities for its Pumpkin Hollow underground copper mine.
Randy Buffington, president and chief executive officer of Nevada Copper, stated: "Our Pumpkin Hollow team is focused on advancing the restart project quickly and safely. We are building on the momentum of the recent achievements by the underground crews as they have progressed through the dike structure and are advancing into the EN zone in anticipation of the underground development contractor arriving on site and commencing development. The technical and leadership teams are in place and committed to executing this restart plan. We are targeting a mill restart in the third quarter with a quick ramp-up to nameplate capacity by the end of 2023."

NATGAS Flash-Analyse & Prognose, 13.02.23 Die jüngsten Temperaturprognosen für die USA deuten darauf hin, dass eine etwas kältere Periode bevorsteht, was theoretisch zu höheren Gaspreisen beitragen sollte. Wie wir jedoch in der heutigen Sitzung sehen können, wird NATGAS mit deutlich gefallenen Kursen gehandelt. Im Extrem betrugen die Verluste heute bis zu 6%; derzeit sind sie auf etwa 4% etwas weniger stark gefallen.

Kauf Sabina 1,69 CAD Toronto...könnte mir auch gut vorstellen, dass da noch ein weiterer Käufer auftaucht, werde daher erstmal halten, ggf. (je nach Marktreaktion) auch zukaufen
Definitiv..... mit dem Preis gefühlt ein absolutes Schnäppchen!
