Largo Resources closed up 3.66 percent on Thursday with a volume over 73,000.

On Thursday, February 7th, 2008, Largo Resources Ltd. announced that it has closed a $2 million first tranche of its previously announced $3 million financing with MineralFields Group, pursuant to which it has issued 3,636,363 flow-through units at a price of $0.55 per unit. MineralFields Group is committed to complete in full the remaining portion of the financing by the end of this month.

Selbst Gold und Silberexplorer und Juniorproduzenten laufen nicht wirklich im Moment. Die Unsicherheit nimmt da alles in Sippenhaft und das wird auch noch ne Zeit so bleiben. Ich bleibe dabei, dass wir hier bei den gut aufgestellten Unternehmen (in Sachen Projektportfolio, Entwicklungsstand, Finanzierung etc.) langfristig Schnäppchenkurse haben oder hier und dort auch nochmal sehen werden.

Ich werde weiter gezielt auf Jagd gehen! :)

Osisko Reports Phase Two Metallurgical Results
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 11, 2008) - Osisko Exploration Ltd. (TSX:OSK)(FRANKFURT:EWX) is pleased to report the following results on the Phase II metallurgical program from its 100% owned Canadian Malartic gold project. Overall recovery from 86 individual leach tests of the direct whole ore cyanidation process is confirmed at an average of 84% from composite samples representing the main lithologies of the deposit, each with approximately 1.1 g/t Au head grade and prepared to 80% minus 200 mesh grind size.

Flotation work that had indicated good recovery of gold to the primary concentrate for some lithologies did not perform well enough on the overall mill feed material. Direct whole ore cyanidation processing has demonstrated superior recoveries and therefore no further work will be carried out on the flotation route.

The metallurgical test program is now moving to Phase III for optimization. Leach tests will be repeated at various grind size fractions and leach times in order to confirm optimum recovery conditions. Phase III also includes additional work including simulation to confirm the various possibilities regarding the grinding circuit arrangement. This will provide the economic basis for the final decision on the capacity and best operating conditions for the Canadian Malartic process facility.

The Phase III detailed test work should be completed by the end of Q1 2008 as originally planned. A Phase IV test program will extend to Q2 2008 and will aim to fine-tune reagent consumption and confirm the homogeneity of metallurgical results throughout the deposit at various ore grades and material location. The results of the above testing programs will establish the process design criteria for the Feasibility Study to be released at the end of Q3 2008.

Furthermore, preliminary economic assessments based on 84% recovery indicate more favorable project economics at a production rate of 50,000 to 55,000 tonnes per day (tpd) or minimum 18 million tonnes per annum. This will result in an increased annual gold production and will be beneficial to the project in reducing unit operation costs and significantly increasing revenue. A third ball mill and additional leach tanks will be acquired to increase the tonnage from the original project criteria of 40,000 tpd. Based on initial discussions with suppliers, the delivery dates for the additional mill and leach tanks will not affect the overall project schedule.

Sean Roosen, President and CEO of Osisko, commented: "This metallurgical work is the foundation for another significant milestone in the development of the Canadian Malartic project. The increase in production rate is entirely manageable within the project time frame given that Osisko has already secured the bulk of the milling equipment. Osisko has signed firm contracts with Metso Minerals, ABB, FLSmidth Minerals and General Electric Canada to purchase a 38 foot SAG mill, two 24 foot ball mills, a gyratory crusher and all electrical drive equipment. Osisko expects first deliveries in Q2 2009 and already has $21 million invested into this equipment, which is part of the project capitalization. The bold actions we took in 2006 to secure our long lead items and lock in prices are now paying off for our shareholders as we have cost and delivery date protection on these crucial items."

All metallurgical test work is being carried out by SGS Lakefield Research on composite samples prepared from fresh NQ core taken throughout the deposit to provide representative combination of all ore types and lithologies that will be encountered in the actual mining operation.

Osisko Exploration Ltd. is currently evaluating the Canadian Malartic gold deposit and adjacent areas for a large-scale open pit, bulk-tonnage mining operation. The Company is well-funded with approximately $180 million on hand and is carrying out an aggressive definition drilling and exploration campaign. A 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessment report on the project is scheduled to be released at the end of Q1 2008.

Orvana Minerals Corp. has released operating results. Dollar amounts in this news release are in thousands of United States dollars, unless stated otherwise, and fine troy ounces of gold are referred to as ounces. Highlights of these results are:

Production of 21,083 ounces, at a total cash cost of $174.25 per ounce(das ist absolut wenig!!!!!), and sales of 20,607 ounces of gold, in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007 (the first quarter of fiscal 2008), compared with 18,847 ounces produced at a total cash cost of $164.82 per ounce and 18,358 ounces sold in the fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31, 2006 (the first quarter of fiscal 2007).
The company had revenues of $16.1-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared with $11.1-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
It had net income of $6.9-million (six cents per share), compared with net income of $3.8-million (three cents per share) in the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
Cash provided by operating activities amounted to $12.6-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared with $6.6-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
The company had ending cash and cash equivalents of over $67-million, and no long-term debt.

Orvana's president and chief executive officer, Carlos Mirabal, said: "Quarterly production remains very strong, as we mine through a particularly high-grade area in the Don Mario mine. Seventy-two per cent of the revenue increase of $4,947 is attributable to higher prices, and 28 per cent to higher gold sales, in the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2007. Net income increased by 81 per cent in the first quarter this fiscal year, compared to the first quarter last fiscal year.

Cash costs still very low at $174/oz.

Our cash reserves were boosted by over $12 million to $67.3 million or $0.59/share.

I fully expect, given the record gold prices this quarter, that ORV will cash flow over $15 million this quarter and will boost its cash reserves to the $82-$83 million.

That is, its future cash flows and advanced assets are given almost nil value in todays share price......that cant last..

The company had revenues of $16.1-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared with $11.1-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
It had net income of $6.9-million (six cents per share), compared with net income of $3.8-million (three cents per share) in the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
Cash provided by operating activities amounted to $12.6-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared with $6.6-million for the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
The company had ending cash and cash equivalents of over $67-million, and no long-term debt.

Orvana's president and chief executive officer, Carlos Mirabal, said: "Quarterly production remains very strong, as we mine through a particularly high-grade area in the Don Mario mine. Seventy-two per cent of the revenue increase of $4,947 is attributable to higher prices, and 28 per cent to higher gold sales, in the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2007. Net income increased by 81 per cent in the first quarter this fiscal year, compared to the first quarter last fiscal year.

ORCOPURA IRON ZONE PERSISTS AT LEAST 750 METERS

Cuervo Resources Inc. (CNQ-IRON; FWB-CRR; “Cuervo” or the “Company”) reports the results from five new holes on its Cerro Ccopane iron ore project in southern Perú. These latest results have a weighted average Fe content of 59.53% over 271.1 m of sampling and include intersections of 61.33% Fe over 89 m in ODH – 44 and 62.11% Fe over 83 m in ODH – 47. These results, along with those of 43 holes previously reported on, confirm consistent high values of iron mineralization in the Orcopura zone and indicate mineralization persists over a strike length of at least 750 meters. The Orcopura zone is one of five zones identified on the wholly-owned Cerro Ccopane property

The main focus in the next month of drilling will be the western extent of the Orcopura zone where previously announced vertical drill hole ODH – 33 intersected over 350 m of iron mineralization. Drilling on other zones on the Cerro Ccopane property is planned as the year progresses. The Company also reports that construction of a dedicated sample-preparation laboratory on site is underway. This laboratory will help assure quality control and expedite the exploration program.

Was hälst Du von ner mittelfristigen Position in B4K, Buffalo Gold?

Die Rahmendaten sind imho nicht so schlecht als dass da nicht Upsidepotential besteht.

Mt. Kare, Kinbauri Beteiligung, Bondi und nicht zuletzt der zu erwartende Cash-Flow durch die Mine in Italien....

Longview Capital hat seine Beteiligung letztens recht stark erweitert.

Oder siehst Du da irgendwo Leichen im Keller? Thx...

Kinbauri, Bondi und das Italien Ding sind da jetzt die Treiber, bin bereits zu 0,5 CAD long, bei Mt.Kare hat man sich wohl etwas verschatzt, die Resource ist nicht soooo gross (bis dato) und ist nur schwer und teuer abzubauen (geringe horizontale Ausdehnung, dafuer sehr steil in die Tiefe)
